Day
I'll be in Nottingham for the day tomorrow before the game, any suggestions on what to do over there? have a few hours to kill, don't fancy a trip to St Anne's, tripadvisor isn't throwing up anything worth doing? Srg
Brewdog worth a visit, few pubs close by which are ok. Failing that, train station to leave isn't far away.

Rev
If you're into videogames, there's the national videogame arcade:http://gamecity.org/visit/There's also a beach and funfair in the main square, you can watch the scutters having their annual bath in the fountains, 2 stops on the tram, or a 20 minute walk:http://www.nottinghamriviera.co.uk/On the opposite side of the square from the tram stop is a Brian Clough statue, you could always dress him up with a Derby scarf! sage
If you want to do something touristy, the Galleries of Justice are pretty good and the nearby Lace Market area has the coolest shops especially Carlton Street and the streets off it. . If it's sunny the the pubs near the canal are good, Canal House, Via Fossa and the other one. Most interesting pubs are the Trip to Jerusalem and Pitcher and Piano. The nicest area is West Bridgford though that does involve going near the sh1tty ground.Best place for lunch is Brown Bettys on St James Street

eddie
There's actually a pretty interesting guided tour of caves under the city - you can get a combined ticket with the Galleries of Justice Museum.

Rev
If you're driving down the A614, stop off at Sherwood Forest and see the major oak, can't get more touristy than that. Otherwise carry on and stop at White Post farm, or nip across to Newstead Abbey.

sage
The caves are pretty rubbish IMO. Galleries of Justice tonnes better. Decent view from the castle if the weather is good.
i-Ram
It says on Trip Advisor to just keep driving around. Don't stop or anything. Certainly don't ask for directions.
