oh, right, you are basing your opinion on journalism.... oh sorry, you must be right then, i take it all back RAUL IS GOD....

Journalists that have a better opinion of him than any of us. If you want to continue criticizing our own players then fine, but don't expect a lot of people to agree with you.

yep, journalists are never wrong...... Where did my hamster go? it was here aminute ago, just before Freddie Starr came around....

I havent spoken to anyone at all, not one single person who goes to see Derby that has anything good to say about the Spanish cart horse at all.

There are plenty of them.

Utterly pathetic that people are writing him off already - until he gets a run in the side in his preferred position, playing alongside the same centre-half for a number of games, it's crazy to judge him - though somehow I'm not surprised that a number of our more vocal 'fans' are doing exactly that....

Yes, a rock in a beleaguered defence which called for kick it & head it tactics. If you want a football playing centre back then Raul is not your man. If you want "kick it & head it" to coin Nigel's expression then he may be your man.

Personally I hoped we were past league 1 tactics.

since when has it been decided he's a head it kick it defender? From what I watched of la liga he was not a head it kick it defender. He picks passes, keeps possession and opens his legs up a bit and I'm sure he'll do the same here.

As you will be aware I don't normally shout my mouth off, but some fans need to get a grip. He's a derby player that's all that matters. No point having a go before the season starts. Judge what he does on the pitch this season.

Musepach when you moved abroad did you fit in straight away? Did you not row with the wife and question if you should give up? Or was it all plain sailing from the day you got there?

Wrong, I go week in week out, I've said give it time.

I think that Albentosa will do well for us, but he wasn't the reason that Eibar fell. There defensive form didn't change, it was more goals scored.

I'm fed up with our fans criticizing players, just support them for goodness sake. You can't criticize Albentosa when he hasn't had the chance to prove himself.

They slagged him off for '6 games' pathetic is it

He played agaisnt Messi and Ronaldo... what a pathetic argument.

Hendirck, Keogh even Jamie Ward have "played against Ronaldo" i dare say that Shotton may have done too....

Not quite as pathetic as 'I didn't watch the Grimsby game, but he was useles (sic)'

There were no games last season where he played well. Fact.

Thats not criticising your own players, thats speaking the truth. Anyone who disagrees with that are blinded by the fact he has a fancy foreign name.

Wigan away last year he was especially awful, reminiscent of Claude Davis, in the sense that you literally had no idea what was gonna happen when he had the ball.

I would absolutely love it if he turned out to be immense, but I highly doubt it.

There hasn't been a game where he has played absolutely awful though.

He was highly rated at Eibar and has had to cope with all the strains of moving to a new country with a different culture and different play style.

Give him time to adapt and he might be great or he might just be like he was last season.
