Day
The FA has charged two agents and Derby midfielder Robbie Savage with breaches of its regulations regarding agents. Des Wroe has been charged in relation to Jack Rodwell's first professional contract with Everton signed in 2008. It is alleged that Wroe acted on behalf of the club in negotiations after he had signed an earlier deal to represent the youngster. Savage and agent George Urquhart have been charged over the renegotiation of Savage's Blackburn contract in 2007. It is alleged that there was no written representation contract in place between the player and the agent when the renegotiation took place in January 2007. Urquhart has also been charged in relation to Savage's later move to Derby in January 2008. It is alleged that Urquhart acted for Derby in that move when he had acted for Robbie Savage in the earlier deal with Blackburn, which is contrary to FA regulations. The parties have 14 days to respond to the charges.
