Dangerous
Not good enough in my opinion. The team looks clueless.Predictable going forward and worryingly awful at the back. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/1916-the-management/ Share on other sites

Perky1106
Ssausagehorpe and Blackpool have bettered us despite being skint so we can't use lack of investment as an excuse. Also, not all teams can fork out a million for a centre-back like we did. Maybe money has been spent badly, but I can't judge Barker yet. The management is out of its depth but it has brought stability. It has been bad so far but there is time for improvement. Our attacking play has been brilliant and our players are great going forward. However, there are silly errors and vulnerability to counter attacks that are costing us. Some of these decisions are errors are basic, basic errors which is why I think the leap up three divisions is too much. These errors can be fixed with some work and some experienced knowledge, but our management is young and learning. It is whether or not we can afford to allow it to learn the trade here or not. Could it put us in trouble if things aren't turned around soon or should we chill out knowing there are many more matches left? Addison has been on form so that suggests there isn't enough reason to replace him. Also, Nigel might have thought tonight would be an easy game in which for Addison to look good in and Barker to improve his fitness and confidence. Maybe it is better to go with the slightly more established Leacock and Barker against bigger teams like Newcastle, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Cardiff. Neo
2 games and Barker does not look like a million pound defender, however Clough has had since Jan to sort out the defensive unit not just pre season all teams have injuries and have to cope,i fear the rot is to big a job for Nigel to sort out .The honeymoon period is over and we do seem to be going backwards. Boycie
I can see the no nonsense side of Barker, he was better last night and scored the late goal. 1 million? I think we were held to ransom somewhat because of Forests interest. I think he will be a good investment when he gets proper match fit, which he aint just yet.
