May Contain Nuts Posted May 25, 2015 Share Posted May 25, 2015 They were relegation fodder in the same sense that Tottenham were before Redknapp took over there a few years back - tperformances/results were not a match for quality of squad or expenditure and they were bottom of the league (or thereabouts) but realistically there was no chance they were actually ever going to be relegated come the end of the season. I remember Redknapp coming in and being praised for turning them around, making out that it was a miracle and he'd 'saved' them from a certain relegation battle - it was ridiculous!
