yes i'm wondering if the board were waiting on the outcome of Newcastle staying in the Prem, we could move him on to Newcastle and receive compensation, he is still under contract and I think we could have a hold over Newcastle if he did contact Derby whilst under contract, we could just employ another Manager and put Mac on gardening leave, the devils in the contract really.

Mike Ashley did probably his first ever TV interview today and said he isn't selling until they win something/qualify for the Champions League (long time).

Carragher on SS1 reckons the next manager should be long term. No matter what. So if Mac wants a big healthy contract that he can refuse to resign from if ever asked to he knows where to go.

Why would Newcastle or any premiership club want Mac after his managerial skills these last few months,he's  been found wanting, looked desperate  and clueless at times......And for him too now treat Derby a club he played for, was an assistant coach to, then ultimately the head coach and backed to the hilt by club and fans when no one else in England would even consider him, well that tells me everything about him, no respect and no loyalty, I wouldn't employ him to wipe my arse
