B4ev6is
If it is that coach from RAilmidread I wander if jim smith fancy one more season if just help new manager with coaching or looking after our future talent and lets face he always had a good eye for good player. Or help the scouting pick up new talent but he is a old man but has a hell of experance to pass and still watches derby how I know this because I throught I saw him inside intu one day. one_chop
No disrespect B4 but Jim Smith is dead old and probably more interested in tending to the Roses than farting about with the Rams. B4ev6is
But I am sure it was him through because I nearly shouted hey jim or bald eagle but did want me look like a crazy person. Ramos
Sorry B4 but Jim Smith hasn't managed a club since he left us about 14 years ago so I'd be very suprised if he suddenly came out of retirement to manage us again, plus i'm sure he is in his 70s and probably a bit too old now to manage! B4 needs to go back to bed. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/19086-when-new-manager-come-in/#findComment-817603 Share on other sites

David
Jim Smith was my first real man love, sadly he's aged, Elton John is younger and he's like really old. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/19086-when-new-manager-come-in/#findComment-817609 Share on other sites
Boycie
I've just got the image of B4 spotting some random old bald chap in Derby and shouting "bald Eagle!" To him. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/19086-when-new-manager-come-in/#findComment-817612 Share on other sites
Sith Happens
Not a bad idea, loved the football of the late 90's, would be great to get someone involved who was responsible for that. Not Jim smith, hes too old, but maybe the guy who was his number 2 who a lot of people thought was the main reason we had such a good team back then......oh wait....... ColonelBlimp
I love the smell of sacasum in the morning. Is that like capsicum? Only my missus is going to enjoy the smell of that shortly. B4ev6is
I did not mean him as manager but as a part time coach or just a general assistant to help new manager out. B4ev6is
Well there are plenty of people in there 70s still working and proabley fitter than we are. But what is the harm in just asking him if he would like to come back for one last season under derby county. Like I said he could just scout teams from the stands and advice new manager what he thinks should happen to try and win the game. Van der MoodHoover
didn't Alec Stock manage Fulham when in his 80's?Jim maybe in his 70's but his body is that of a man in his 40's, as it has been preserved in neat alcohol for the last 20 years.
