His previous club, Eibar, have fallen into the bottom 3 of La Liga, despite being 8th when he left the club in January.

Gives me good hope that with a full pre season, he will come good!

I hope you are right. Not sure pre season I enough to teach him how to kick a ball with his left foot and teach him some speed.

Darren Moore didn't need either of those and he was fantastic when we under up under BD.

The championship sometimes needs a lump out of touch and a boot it, head it merchant.

Good point.

The only difference being that possession football is so important to our style of play. We don't have the sort of players that will chase aimless hoofs all day.

Agree. Think we do need players at the can who can pass and distribute when under no pressure, but I feel players in the holding role take the pressure off by coming and taking the ball deep and playing out. Thorne, Hughes and to some extent eustace will be able to do all the passing for them.

i want my defenders to be big hard ******** who will kick it, head it, lump it and stop oppositions scoring. If they can't pass it they can always just hit the opposition full back on the loan diagonal and make them head it out of play for a thrown in.

I'm fairly certain he'll show us just how good he is next season.

He came into the side when we were at the beginning of a very poor run, he was getting to grips with a new language and adjusting to a new club.

With a solid pre-season behind him and a better grip of the language and his team-mates, he'll put in some MotM performances, I'm confident of that!

Much as I like Keogh, and I really do, starting to think it will be for the best if he moves on, there will always be a sizable chunk of the crowd on his back no matter what he does, even when he has a faultless game some people wish to transfer the blame for other's mistakes onto him.

He deserves better than he receives from the stands, but he'll never get the credit he deserves whilst a Ram.

Buxton is a better defender than Keogh and i agree a better right back is needed because he covers up just how poor defensively keogh is......wisdom did it very well.

Keogh's positioning is suspect, he struggles against physically strong quick players, goes to ground far to often, watch carefully when defending corners how many times with no contact he is on the floor.I have pointed it out to people who when they do comeback and say you are right. He accepts no responsibility for his own mistakes looking to blame others and his distribution is far from ideal.

I have spent my life watching centre halfs from the late sixties through to now whilst supporting this great team and believe me he would struggle to get in the top thirty.

Albentosa won't play.

As long as Keogh doesn't get injured and he keeps up his performance levels.

Unless of course Albentosa can learn to play at left sided CB.

I suspect you may be disappointed. Albentosa is clearly part of the long term plans. Even McClaren & Co for all their lack of being able to organise a defence must tot up the number of goals against where Keogh could have done better.
