eddie
Yes, mate - plenty. My favourites are the pubs owned by the Porterhouse Brewery - they have 4 in Dublin. One is just off the corner of Grafton Street and Nassau Street, opposite Trinity College (Porterhouse Central), one is on Parliament Street (runs between the Liffey and Dame Street) in Temple Bar (Porterhouse Temple Bar), one in Phibsboro which stands next to the charmingly named Cross Guns Bridge just down the road from Bohemians Football Club (Porterhouse North) and one at the seaside at Bray on the front (Porterhouse Inn). All serve fantastic beers they brew themselves, plus the usual stuff from elsewhere. Their stouts are second to none - 'Porterhouse Plain' has won the world championship twice, Wrasslers XXXX and Oyster Stout are equally fantastic. If you like lagers they brew 3 of their own (Chiller, which is an American-style one, Temple Brau which is a German style, and Hallertau Hersbrucker, which is Czech/Pilsner). They brew a superb strong bitter called An Brain Blasta (Gaelic for 'the tasty drop' - a clever beer pun if ever there was one), an Irish 'red' bitter called Porterhouse Red, plus an IPA called Hop Head and a few others.Other good pubs to look out for are JW Sweetman on Burgh Quay, right next to O'Connell Bridge - they also brew their own beers and their Imperial Stout takes some beating. There is also The Stag's Head, just off Dame Street near Dublin Castle - it's hard to find so look at the pavement and you will (eventually) see a stag in the paving stones, then go through the alley and hey presto. The Long Hall on St George's Street is worth a visit, as is the Palace Bar on the corner of Fleet Street (the main cobblestone road that runs through Temple Bar) and Westmorland Street. You can't miss it - it has an old-fashioned street lamp right outside it.
