derbydan
Derby County will be undertaking a 'test run' of their new and enhanced ticket system on Saturday. The Rams teamed up with one of the world's leading ticketing experts, [url=http://www.tickets.com/]TICKETS.COM, during the summer to launch state-of-the-art Season Ticket cards to scan at the turnstiles instead of the traditional tear-out books. The credit-card sized cards will allow quick and efficient entry to Pride Park Stadium on matchdays, reducing queues and hold-ups. The cards are sponsored by McDonalds, who are providing fantastic discounts to Rams Season Ticket Card holders at participating local restaurants and fans can find details of the special offers on the reserve of their Season Ticket Card. The installation of the new system has been completed and will be operational on Saturday when Sheffield United visit Pride Park to enable Season Ticket holders to test their season cards, and the club are advising fans to arrive early. The Season Cards need to be placed against the card reader at the turnstiles - the card is then read and a light indication displays the type of ticket. The fully automated turnstile will then allow access to the stadium with a green light signal. If any Season Ticket holders encounter a problem with their Season Card they will be given a card explaining they need to go to the Ticket Office to have the problem investigated. Supporters wishing to upgrade their ticket for this game are reminded that they should come to the Ticket Office early - the Season Card will be cancelled for the game and a replacement ticket will be issued. Supporters with paper tickets and away supporters will need to insert the ticket barcode end into the reader - the barcode is then read and a light indication displays the type of ticket. On a green light the supporter should proceed through the turnstile. lol looks like you won't be gettin that free ticket after all eh boycie

vicky-27
Hhhmmm the turnstiles are still there - there is a chip in the card that reads it - if you get a green light you can go through the turnstile - if its red they chuck you out - went today to sort it they issue you with a new card - takes 15 mins  there was a huge que when i left - they recon about 300 are faulty - they will still have stewards on the gate but not as many, but don't they work for free anyway ? Boycie
The main problem was that nobody knew what to do with it. You stick your paper barcode end of your ticket into the slot. Season ticket cards are to be held infront on the slot quite close. Wait for a green light and push the turnstyle. Simples, don't think there'll be such a queue tomorrow night.
