To only the Derby fans who sing about my broken leg. Wasn’t that a Premier League game? #chokers

Now i undertand he gets some grief from our fans but surely as a football pundit /journalist he shouldn't post things like this?

i know it says only to derby fans who sing about him! the fans are not chokers this is surely  a knock at the club? a club he might have to come to in his job? surely you dont say things like that?

i have been following stan for some time on Twitter but not anymore i wouldnt imagine he will not gives a rats ass but for a man who gets the ammount of grief online as he does just putting if you doint sing about me this isnt aimed at you ! means nothing it is still going to upset Derby fans who dont sing about him, and couldnt care less what hes done or hasnt done in the past.

Think what is most upsetting is he nails it in one we choked it twice now just hope its not a pattern going forward.

Don't see the problem. It's just good natured banter IMO. We have given Collymore some stick over the years - surely if we get upset when he has a very mild dig we just look a bit pathetic? If you can't take it, don't dish it out.

We didn't choke last year. We were unlucky.

this year we've choked more often than linda lovelace.

As far as other Derby fans are concerned, well, this Derby fan doesn't sing the song about Collymore so on a personal level, I don't give a damn. It's aimed at the fans who do.

He's dead right about the choking - we've taken it to Forest v Yeovil levels this season.

You chant about someone breaking their leg, you are a ****.

He specified 'Only to the Derby fans that chant about my broken leg', so I take zero offence because I'm not a **** enough to chant that crap.

AND everyone who sings "THE" song will be SOOO pleased that he actually knows we sing and care about him and all the effort isnt wasted HA HA

Right thats me done

Song started last year and it took Collymore few months to realised that lol.

Ahh the good old days

An emphatic Derby victory at Pride Park was overshadowed by an horrific injury to Leicester's Stan Collymore who suffered a broken leg.

Leicester started brightly and made several early runs which worried the Derby defence.

Within 15 minutes however, Craig Burley had put the Rams ahead with a glorious low shot from the edge of the box.

Derby forward Dean Sturridge nearly made it two soon after but fluffed his attempt to backheel the ball into the net.

Drama came in the 17th minute when Stan Collymore fell to the ground in agony.

The game was held up for six minutes while he received medical treatment before being stretchered from the pitch with his legs strapped together and an oxygen mask over his face.

He was taken to Derby Royal Infirmary suffering from what the Derby club's doctor confirmed was a broken left leg just above the ankle.

Just after the half hour Leicester had a chance to equalise when Ian Marshall, who had come on for Collymore, struck a thundering attempt which Mart Poom was just able to parry.

But Rory Delap doubled Derby's advantage when he headed in his seventh of the season on 45 minutes.

Leicester's Neil Lennon showed his frustration a minute later when he retaliated after Georgi Kinkladze took him out with a late tackle - both players were booked.

Rams' boss Jim Smith was able to relax five minutes into injury time when Rory Delap played a beautiful ball across to the far post which Dean Sturridge nodded down into the net giving the keeper no chance.

Leicester started the second half much as they had the first with some enterprising attacks.

Matt Elliot forced Poom to make a spectacular save in the opening minutes of the second half and the keeper once again collected the ball after the resulting corner.

Leicester dominated second half possession keeping the tie alive but the atmosphere began to get slightly heated.

With Derby seemingly heading for three points, Rams boss Jim Smith opted for caution and replaced Kinkladze with left-back Tony Dorigo.

Leicester suffered another blow when having been warned by the referee once already, Graham Poll showed a second yellow to Leicester's Neil Lennon after he attempted to stop Burley taking a quick free kick.

Derby could have made it four moments later but Dean Sturridge was unable to control a shot in front of an open net.

Leicester's misery was then compounded when Darren Eadie limped injured from the pitch and was stretchered away.

Jim Smith was comfortable enough on 80 minutes to substitute 18-year-old Adam Murray for the goalscorer Craig Burley.

Steve Guppy proved it was just not Leicester's day when his goal was ruled offside in the dying seconds.

'Big win'

After the win, Derby boss Jim Smith said: "We're the only team to win in the bottom eight this weekend so it's a big win for us.

"We were nervous in the second half having not won many games and when they came at us Poom did well to keep a clean sheet for us.

"It was a great goal from Craig Burley. The experienced players have shown the way today - I thought Powell was outstanding.

"We're not safe yet though."

Leicester manager Martin O'Neill said after the match that early indications showed Stan Collymore should make a full recovery from his injury.

He said: "The news is quite good. The physiotherapist said it appeared to be the sort of break which Stan could recover from quite well.

"As far as the game is concerned we had as much possession as we have had at any away ground.

"I genuinely thought, even at three-nil down at half time, that if we came out and got one back in the first 25 minutes, then we would have had a chance."
