Kernow
Other managers have achieved more. I'd have gone for Lambert based on achievements alone, although his Villa stint probably ended that.
Ambitious
Comfortably one winner for this accolade: Record breaking points with a side that he put together on a shoestring. Yet, he's overlooked for Eddie Howe, who may yet end up with his side in the play-offs. Laughable.

Tombo
The point is that it's across the 3 FL leagues and Eddie Howe has made waves in both stints for Bournemouth. Still can't agree though.
ramsbottom
I'd suggest the Poisoned Scottish Dwarf has won more games in the football league than him.Howe has got one hell of a publisist, i'll give him that...
Ramos
You'd think it would have to be a manager who has promoted a team a few times so any of Paul Lambert, Nigel Adkins or Nigel Pearson, they have taken teams from league 1 to the premier league. Then Steve Coppell like it was mentioned above got the most points with a Reading team. If these awards were next year and Bournemouth do go up then yes Howe would be one of the front runners. Also Mick Mccarthey has got both Wolves and Sunderland promoted in the past decade and he is doing a very good job at Ipswich. Anon
So you all think that taking a team from under a transfer embargo, at the bottom of the football league with a -17 points deduction, to Premiership contenders in 6 seasons isn't worthy of recognition? The guy has demonstrated that he is the complete package. He worked on a shoestring in league 2. He showed that when he is given money he can spend it on the right players in the last few years. His team play good football. It would be ridiculous to give this award to anyone else.
May Contain Nuts
It's ridiculous to have the award in the first place. But a needless award, with Eddie Howe the recipient, well I never!I'm waiting for him to say there's a conspiracy against him if he doesn't win a manager of the month award within the first 5 months of next season. Alph
I think that much, if not all, of the anti-Howe rhetoric has something to do with these babies.... I dunno. Watching his Burnley team roll around wasn't fun. Then his "I'd rather he been 1-0 down" grade A bolleaux... He has really nice looking hair. Better than Mac's. I'm not saying that's helped him win his award but it'd be very naive to think it hasn't helped.
