Elsnik, just 16, is a left-footed winger who currently players for NK Aluminij in his native country.

A star for his nation at youth level, and currently a fixture in the Under-19 side despite his age, a report in NogoManiahas claimed that he has been with the Rams for the last few days, and has finally agreed terms ahead of a summer transfer to the iPro Stadium.

Due to his young age, and having never made a senior competitive appearance, it is likely that Elsnik has been signed to head into Derby’s youth team, although a first-team debut could not be too far away if Steve McClaren remains in charge for next season.

The Rams head coach has shown a willingness to look towards youth when necessary, and Elsnik has clearly favoured a move to the Midlands with this in mind.

The same report indicates that Slovenian giants, and frequent Champions League competitors, Maribor have also been tracking the youngster, as they look to stock up their roster with local talent for the future.

Nominally a left-footed right-sided winger, Elsnik is frequently found patrolling all across the front three positions, as well as in a striking role if needs be. However, it is his creative talents that are the brightest side of his game, and he is just one of many stars in Slovenia’s youth sides.

He has played against England previously, in a 3-1 defeat at Under-17 level, in which Elsnik assisted Jan Mlakar for Slovenia’s only goal of the game.

I was googling him, there's not an awful lot about him. Found this page http://ask.fm/TimiElsnik

For anyone who doesn't know what Ask.fm is, you can answer anonymous questions from people on to your page, he had over 7000 answers. I just asked "Are you joining Derby County mate?" and refreshed the page 5 minutes later, and the account is deactivated.

Strange that he would have 7000 answers, then five minutes after a question about Derby is asked he deactivates the account.

Is that him playing through the middle?

Will Hughes replacement possibly?

He's the number 11 red. Knocks it long at the start of the video then finishes off the tap in. Then the second goal is a solo effort. That video was about 6 months about, I know he's only 16 but he looks tiny so would definitely get knocked off the ball a lot unless he's got a Messi-style ball control. First task when he gets to Derby is to get in the gym and build some strength lad.

Cracking second goal.

He has good movement. I like how once he knocks the first ball at the start of the video he doesn't do what kids tend to do and go sprinting towards the goal to demand the ball back immediately. He trots around, keeps his position and waits for the ball to come in a good position. After the lad has taken a shot he's somehow the only player in the box to follow up. Can't do much harm having him in the U18s if he looks half decent.
