B4ev6is Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I think if stephen warnok i had not played today derby would have made to the last 6. But playing with 10 men made the whole game a lot harder. But i am pround of the lads they went down fighting and i could not ask for anymore of the lads. But kelly roos could have done nrothing to stop of those 2 goals. The back 4 and back 3 did brillentley to keep us in it as long as they did. Our midfield kepted trying to play our football and kepted trying to feed darren bent.
Boycie Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Well, someone was to blame for conceding 2 goals?
ramsbottom Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Last six! I didn't realise this year's cup was a round robin format. We may well have won it after all...
-JW- Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Bennett did well when he came on, don't you think?

robglosta Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 If Callum Ball hadn't have missed that sitter we might have made it through.
rammieib Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Last six? Did I miss something about the F.A cup?
mcsilks Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 What's with this bravery nonsense. We went down to ten men and tried to win the cup tie. I would expect no less from any professional side and really don't see why we should be proud of them, or congratulate them as McClaren suggested. McClaren said you cannot win a game with 10 men. Again, I disagree. We all know only too well that a game can be won with 10 men. I don't think we played particularly well yesterday with or without 10 men. The first half was poor with both sides giving the ball away. The second half was little better. Any quality from either side would have won the tie, irrespective of numbers. But to call the side brave is a nonsense. They did what they are paid to do and I expect nothing less.

mcsilks Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Going on an early Sunday fishing trip buddy? What at half past two in the afternoon? Am not so good with the rod, either. I haven't got the patience.
Brammie Steve Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 We'd have won this only Reading scored more than us!

But I agree with you Silks. Nothing brave about playing a game of football, and I am never going to be proud in defeat. I am happy to congratulate players on effort, like the play-off final last season, but I didn't leave that game feeling how brave they were, and what pride they gave me. I felt deflated. A bit like I still do today.
