StaffsRam
Hopefully more of a precautionary measure. Pretty sure we'll be seeing Bent for the cup game so a little bit of R&R time for CM if he needs it.

Ewetube
So in summary Martin went off with a gammy leg; we're not sure if it was all the leg or just a bit of it that was problematic.

CaverRam
He held his hammy, walked around slowly, we all groaned for him...he jogged a bit...play went on...then a few minutes later he walked to the bench where a warmed up premier league version of himself swapped over. Yep - it was super quick - the substitution - but thanks for the info.........

Guest
I was sat next to dugout. Definitely held back of his thigh as he came off.....and I would hasten a guess he got injured trying to reach a cross at near post after a couple of minutes. Bent was soon out warming up, got called back to dugout a minute or so before Martin walked over to dugout and retired. Shows how fit and strong he actually is to never have before looked like coming off injured in a game that I can recall (other than his first two or three games when he looked like he was having a heart attack so out of breath he used to get !! ) Hope he is n't too bad.....but was fascinating watching bent's movement across the line looking for balls to run onto. He also won a fair few in the air,
Alph
McClaren was a bit snappy wasn't he? Did he have money on Martin to score the winner?
RamNut
Russell got a hamstring injury, bennett too, ward is nursing himself through games. Martin has now possibly got one. The cold weather, sudden exertion or stretching, and fatigue are risk factors. Just pray that Bent doesn't get one whilst Martin is out.
ketteringram
Not good having so many injured at this stage of the season, but maybe it's the same for our rivals too.
whiteroseram
I heard it's scurvy but dont have a source due to the fact I made it up. Just so lucky on the timing, I doubt he would have started on sat anyway and either way if this had happened first half of the season we wouldnt be where we are now
Cardifframs
I think Martin does fantastically well,to play every game as he does He gets knocked from pillar to post during games,so been very lucky to escape injury all season I'd normally be really worried, but who do we have to replace him with?Darren Bent! Little wee stain on the floor

SIWY
Not sure how serious his injury was, but I suspect he won't be risked vs Reading on Saturday.
