David
Why?
ramchip
Why? In regards to SEO of the forum it will be a complete disaster! During the lifespan of the forum it has picked up many quality links from other sites all of which point to the ,co,uk domain. When you have moved the forum then all the links will then point to a "unused" domain. You could create 301 diverts but you stand a good chance of damaging the SEO of the forum. David
I was already going to do a 301, won't damage SEO at all, plus most of the traffic is direct now and increasing each year
ramchip
Er you need more than just one 301. I tried to help that's all. I'll leave you to it.

David
301's will be created for all boards for site links, page rank won't be lost (which is currently 1) and topics will be reindexed within days, I can see from the stats where our traffic comes from to know if it would hurt us or not. David
Right, now I'm on my mac just a little flex of my muscles for those that doubted my knowledge. It will ask for a username and password it's test and test Will 301 redirect to http://dcfcfans.uk/donate/ to http://dcfcfans.uk/donate/ In fact any link you can find on the forum switch it to .uk and it will redirect to .co.uk. Once we move I just flip it around and away we go. No page rank loss, google listings will update, no problemo
