Cloughie has just said on RD the player coming in on Monday is Jake Livermore from Spurs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Injury restricted the powerful young midfielder to just 10 appearances for both our Reserve and Under-18 sides in 2008-09.

But he returned to fitness towards the end of the campaign, and on returning to pre-season in preparation for the 2009/10 campaign, Jake trained and played for the first team before being rewarded a new contract, committing him to the Club until 2011.

On the same day, he scored an equaliser against European Champions Barcelona in a pre-season friendly at Wembley!

A county champion at 1500m, Enfield-born Jake was cross-country champion of the South East in 2000 and joined our Academy full-time in 2006-07 having played 15 times for our Under-18s as a schoolboy in 2005-06.

Jake has enjoyed loan spells with both MK Dons and Crewe Alexandra during his time with us.

Having Green, Pearson, Savage, Pringle, Livermore and Pringle gives us plenty of backup for the season. Green and Pearson seem quite injury prone and you can't expect Savage to run around for 90mins all season.

JAKE Livermore has joined Derby County on a month's loan but must wait for his debut because he is serving a suspension.

The 19-year-old central midfielder (pictured) was sent off twice playing for Tottenham Hotspur Reserves at the back end of last season.

He still faces three matches out and will be available for the Rams after the Championship fixture at Blackpool on Tuesday, August 18.

Derby would like to keep the Enfield-born player until the January transfer window.

"He is very similar to Paul Green and Stephen Pearson," said manager Nigel Clough.

"He bombs forward, so in the formation we have got at the moment with three midfielders, he is an ideal replacement should either of those two go down injured.

"If he had been on the substitutes' bench against Peterborough United on Saturday, he would have been straight on for Greenie, who had to come off with a foot injury."

Injury restricted Livermore to only 10 appearances for Tottenham's Reserves and Under-18 side last season.

He returned to fitness towards the end of the season and recently signed a deal to keep him at White Hart Lane until 2011.

He scored for Spurs against Barcelona in last month's Wembley Cup pre-season tournament.

Livermore played five matches on loan at MK Dons in 2008 but was injured playing in a friendly while on loan at Crewe Alexandra.

As a schoolboy athlete, he was county champion at 1500m and cross-country champion of the South East in 2000.

Derby have also asked a Premier League club about loaning a defender.

McEveley does not count as a defender. He is a terrible player who tries to overlap as a left winger thus forgetting what his initial job is.

I think so discount jay beardsley hanson not good enough for long term imo, Leacock is likely to be injured, all of a sudden it dont look so good, plus miles may be required in midfield with our injury record.
