Everytime Germany get to the edge of USA's box they pass it backwards, it's obvious they're not trying to score a second goal it's bizarre.

 

Anyway 1-0 suits both teams fine given that Portugal are beating Ghana.

I think it became obvious towards the last 10/15 minutes that Germany were going to settle for 1-0 unless an obvious opportunity presented itself. The US only started pushing forward once Portugal got the second goal to rule out Ghana as a realistic threat.

 

Overall, thought the US deserved to get through the group, they were the second best team in it. Just goes to show, even if you're not the best side in the world, a decent attitude and good application go a long way. England, take note....

Yep, I was pretty frustrated as I wanted to see more goals. Germany definitely had the options, but it was bordering on ridiculou how obvious it got.

 

Muller in one instance had a free man outside who would have had a clear run on goal yet he tried an impossible lofted pass to an already offside Klose just for the sake of it...

 

Wound me up.

 

You've got to laugh at the 'pundits' comments on the BBC also. Apparently Ronaldo missed six glorious chances because he's not fit. What an utterly lame excuse, not being fit means he'd struggle to get into the positions, it would have no bearing on his finishing as Luis Suarez proved.

 

Ronaldo was just simply woeful infront of goal. He had something like 19 attempts this tournament and only one goal. Muller has four goals in seven attempts.
