Shuff264
If its a remade decision I think they will say special circumstances They could do, but there is no reason why USA cant host it. They have the stadiums and infrastructure, about the same amount of work would need to be done as here. Rev
Australia even more likely, very close to winning originally, stadiums and infrastructure already in place too. Tombo
Australia even more likely, very close to winning originally, stadiums and infrastructure already in place too. USA had it not long ago. Don't think Australia have ever had one, they should have it I reckon. Guest
Personally I think Blatter should be re-elected for another 4 years so he can launch another internal investigation into this corruption that has been going on through his whole stint in charge. Bris Vegas
Australia don't have the stadiums do they? Thought a lot of them were under 40k capacity. US would be a fine choice, as they have the perfect infrastructure and nothing major would need changing Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/15257-world-cup-qatar-and-sony-asking-questions/#findComment-618521 Share on other sites

Because it's all about money that's why. How many more countries will run up huge debts just to satisfy FIFAs lust for money to lavish upon themselves? ariotofmyown
Bribery aside, if you are going to have a world cup outside Europe and Latin America, then the Middle East isn't the worst choice. The last one was in Africa, Japan & South Korea was 12 years ago and USA was 20. It would seem unfair if USA had 2 relatively close together just because they are outside the main continents for football. The world cup has never been around the midfle east region or Australia so makes sense to be there. Unfortunately, there are very few Middle East countries stable enough to host it. Egypt/Algeria could have done it in past (near middle east) but not now. Maybe FIFA were thinking like this and that's one honest readon Qatar won.
