Keogh RB?

Really do think this could be a good solution, we don't lose him and break up the squad.

We get a good defensive RB who can play the same role as wisdom did this year, providing extra defensive stability.

Also, we can strengthen in one of the most important areas of the team, with someone who's abit more dominant in the air and is abit more solid, and obviously keogh could allways move back to cb if needed.

Or 3 CHs in a 3-4-3 that can switch to 433

Grant

Keogh Buxton New/Whitbread

Coutts Bryson Hughes Forsyth

Ward Martin Rusell

For that formation to work, you need at least one of your CM's to be defensive minded, which our current 3 (Bryso, Will, Jeff) are not, so we would still need Thorne/Eustace/new CDM in there.

Personally, I wouldn't change a comfortable formation, we know it and it works

Keogh shouldn't play RB. He's not good enough on the ball to be a marauding full back and he's too slow/not strong enough to deal with pacey wingers. Wisdom was inexperienced so often made mistakes but he could use his strength and pace to get himself out of hot water. Keogh doesn't have that luxury.

Playing Keogh in RB is a ''square peg in round hole'' situation. It's an option if we got an injury crisis but I wouldn't want him to be the RB in our First XI.

I'd like to see 4-4-2 given a go for a game in pre season. Only if we could get someone to partner Martin up front, or just play Johnny there. It's a solid formation but then I suppose there is only two CM positions available. It seemed to work well for the likes of Leicester and Burnley.

Well yes. But Burnley are a well organised hoofball side and Leicester's strength is their pacey and explosive wingers and too class centre forwards.

Strangely enough I was talking to a Coventry supporting mate of mine last week. He was singing Keogh's praises and was saying how gutted he was for him after "that clearance".

He made mention the fact that Keogh's often played RB for Cov and did a great job there. Not sure myself but he was pretty insistant that he could play RB.
