For those of you who want to punch me in the mouth, I'll be there, so bring it on.

I'd rather punch you in the nose than the mouth. Can I still come?

I only do kneecaps Eddie ;) Thanks for the info though may have a look!

Hope he doesn't play "it must be Clough" or or "we can't let Savage go"

But he has to end with. "Nothinghamshire"

Pretty hopeful that Woolly Bully and The Co-op Cow will feature somewhere in the set.

If anyone's interested, I might reveal the true story behind the Finn Harps reference in the lyrics (FFFTCP being the only album I got a mention in the sleeve notes) - although I've told the story countless times.

Is that when when you went for a slash?

Guess it was to make it rhyme. If its what I think it is too much detail might scare folk away.

I was the person of whom the old fellow asked the score at half time. The response from him was just the funniest thing I had ever heard at a football match, and I was crying with laughter. Context was everything.

Today sees the launch of The Quad's summer season of football - it's free and commences at 6.30 pm:

The DCFC Collection (the Rams' heritage trust) is exhibiting many rare images and the gallery walls are adorned with classic photos from Derby's great history.

Spain-based rock muso and Derby lad Kev Moore will be playing a set of Rams songs and club skipper Shaun Barker is putting on a DJ set during the evening!

There will be other DCFC heritage displays and exclusive Kev Moore and Rams-elated merch on offer.

The exhibition and a string of football talks runs through until early September - sure to be of interest to Rams fans of all ages.

Seems like a great antidote to the 'Wembley blues' - and a good footy diversion whilst we wait England's next glorious capitulation in the World Cup!

Well, go on then, what is the story?

BTW, I know that this might seem odd, but until I read this thread I'd never heard of Fanfare for the Common's People. Bought it last week and it's marvelous. Co-op Cow is my new favourite song.

OK, it was the evening of (checks date) 15 September, 1976. Derby were playing Finn Harps in the UEFA Cup at The Baseball Ground. It was an absolute massacre (Hector scored 5 and 2 other players scored hat-tricks too). At half time a little old chap, must have been in his late 70s, flat cap, the lot, came up to me and said in the broadest Bargate/Holbrook area accent, "Ayup, Miduk. Can tha tell us t'score?"

"Yes", I replied. "It's nine nil"

"Bugger me", came the reply. "Bin fer a **** an' missed five goals".
