eddie
I come on here instead of buying Woman's Weekly. My daughter's featured in one of those magazines this week. After she'd had a baby (Oliver, the little lad with the Will Hughes hair) she bet £100 at 33-1 with William Hill that she could lost 5 stone in 6 months (with her GP's blessing). She won. Did she go to the bookie with 5 stones in her pocket?
eddie
Did she go to the bookie with 5 stones in her pocket? A lot of negotiation was involved. Apparently William Hill's look upon this sort of stuff as great publicity, but they only take a few on in a year. There was no 'going to the bookies' involved at all, and not even a pebble was carried.
