Duracell Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Missed this thread yesterday. Belated happy birthday. I was distraught when the DET shut down. All those hours arguing with idiots twice my age on an unmoderated forum - wasted. Gone. All those lost posts, lost threads, all the libel and slander, gone forever more.... Then I clicked on the links they gave to the other Derby forums. Much like wands in Harry Potter, the forum chooses you, you do not choose the forum - and this one called out to me. The light burned my eyes. I haven't looked back since, I love it here, and I've wasted an equal amount of time in this bizarre little corner of the internet. When I started I hadn't taken my GCSEs and had to lie about my age to sign up. That I got into Uni is a miracle considering the time spent on here I should have spent revising during exam periods....
