According to the Daily Hate.

Among the other signings is full-back Brayford, who arrived from Championship side Derby County in the summer.

Cardiff paid £1.75m, plus £500,000 in additional clauses, to sign one of the most promising players in the Football League. Brayford, 25, was regarded so highly at Pride Park that they were reluctant to let him quit for less than £3m.

Eventually he signed for Cardiff in July. They will pay him £416,000 in signing-on fees over the course of his contract and the agent will pick up £281,000. Brayford, who is paid £18,000 a week, has not played in the top flight and wants to leave.

The interesting thing about this article is, having signed Bradford which now appears to have been the managers' decision, why has Mackay only selected him twice. Injury may have been a factor but surely not for the entire season to date?

Also, the fee mentioned is a lot higher than most of us had believed it to be - possibly journalistic licence?

18,000 a week. How many fans want him back now??? I wonder how that compares to Wisdom's wages.

The fee paid includes a signing on fee and payment to the agent....

The fee to us was therefore somewhat less.

Silly move at the time, and looking an even sillier move now.

Probably less than Wisdom's wages. Didn't Sam Rush say we were only paying a small percentage of Wisdom's wage and there was no way we would be able to pay the full amount?

Wisdom by far the superior player to Brayford, no?

you do have a good point there, but chances of us keeping Wisdom next year on loan are slim, unless we get promoted, then we may get him again, but would Liverpool want him playing in the Prem?
