Luis Suarez has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Liverpool.

The striker, 26, joined the Reds in January 2011 and has scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League starts this season.

Suarez, whose original deal was set to expire in 2016, will earn around £160,000 until the end of this season and then £200,000 per week over the final four years of the contract.

They will soon be on half a mill a week!!! jesus. It will take the average man 10 years to earn that.

Joke.

If anyone's watched much of Suarez this season, he is probably one of the few in the world that can warrant that kind of money.

He has literally made every other Premier League striker look ridiculously bang average with his form.

Obviously nobody should be on that sort of money but when you look through the PL then I agree Suarez should be paid twice as much as most of the *****.

If this sort of form becomes a permanent standard he'll be probably be up there with the best players of the current generation.

Gone in the summer either way.

Rooney reported to be on £250k, Ronaldo and Messi £400k, Is Suarez in that bracket?

I think he's better than Rooney now so the £200k is probably about right with the stupid wages currently being paid.

As regards going in the summer, that may well depend on Liverpool's season. Top 3 finish and Champions League qualification may well keep him there unless there is a £50m release clause in his new contract.
