Manchester United

Appointing Moyes is like the equivalent of sacking him now and appointing Pardew..

Why did they do it?

He won nothing for 10 years and being the 8th biggest club in the PL people thought that finishing between 12th and 5th every year was some sort of massive achievement.. Not to mention being helped by one of the most productive academies in England..

He's never had a winning mentality, and never showed tactical awareness to beat a good team away from home..

Diego Simeone and Klopp would go there in a heartbeat.. Why are they settling for mediocre? They're supposed to be 'the biggest club in the world'

But he's good on a tight budget which is what Man United need.

And he plays nice football. Free flowing attacking football that United fans spread throughout the world demand.

He's also well known in Europe and his CV will be the difference between signing for the blue or red of Manchester.

Then there's his experience in Europe to draw upon.

He's ideal for the job.

(Imagine saying that with a straight face. That's what Fergie had to do)

Someone mentioned it was rather suspicious..

Afterall Fergie wouldn't have wanted someone going in there and winning straight away.. He'd be a forgotten man.

The fact that Fergie has pleaded with everyone to give him time and what with his new book it's still all about him.. He's gone but his legacy remains.. If Mourinho had gone there and won a double in his forst season no one would even bother talking about Fergie anymore.. And the selfish n0b can't be having that..

It makes more sense everyday.. I reckon appointing/recommending Moyes was another masterstroke by Fergie in which is remains in the limelight and will do for the remainder of Moyes's contract.

Who is going to want to play for Man Utd under Moyes? They will really struggle to make the top 4 this year and no CL football will ruin them.

They have still got all the debt from the Glaziers to cover and that might end of in Hicks & Gillette situation if they fail to make the CL.

Man United's debt is tiny in comparison to how much Man United's revenue will grow over the next few years. New PL TV deal, New CL TV deal, New kit supplier deal, New sponsors left right and center. We are talking about an increase in over £120m a year.

Just pray they feck it up and miss out on CL this year then, it might be the last time in our lifetime they don't finish in the top 4. Sporting contest? You're having a laugh.

John Jimmy Macharia, a Manchester United fan, committed suicide in Nairobi after his team lost.

Macharia, 23, jumped from the 7th floor of a building he was in on December 7 after he learned that Manchester United lost 1-0 to Newcastle, police said.

Macharia told his friends he couldn’t stand watching his team get beaten, Nairobi County police chief Benson Kibue told Kenya’s Standard Digital.

“All witness accounts suggest he committed suicide because the team lost but officers are still talking to those who were with him as part of the investigations into the incident,” he said.

Kibue warned people about getting too attached to football (soccer).

“It is not the first time we are losing a young man because of the football in England, which is far away from us. They need to know that is just a game,” said Kibue.

Manchester United’s loss was the second defeat in four days.

Evolutionary natural selection pressure in action.

Bit harsh? Meh.

It's about time the manure lot felt what's it's like being a real football supporter. Defeat should be taken in the same way as a win. Just move on to the next game and try to improve.

It's all doom and gloom, and I bet they're losing thousands of fans by the day at the moment. Who will gain them? City? Arsenal?

The local team? Bahahahahahahah! Nah, just jokin.

Ferguson threw all of his weight behind the appointment of Moyes, so I think that blows apart any conspiracy theory - if anything this shows up his poor judgement. They wanted longevity and stability and they sure as hell were never going to get that with Jose.

If they can claim 4th (which I fully expect them to) then it's something to build on, but he's got a serious rebuilding job on his hands - you could argue they need 11 new players (some first team, some squad) to challenge properly for the title next season. But without 4th spot they won't attract the players they need, and the gap will widen. Sounds dramatic but they could be out of the mix for the next 5 years if they don't finish 4th.

He probably had a life altering bet on Man Utd to win
