davenportram
If we are going for a sin-bin approach to offences that normally warrant a yellow, what are you going to do when such an offence is committed towards the end of a game when there is insufficient time remaining to serve a full punishment? The 'goalkeeper conceding a penalty not being sent off' could open up a similar can of worms. Certain goal? Grab the striker's legs. He would have scored otherwise but there's always a chance of someone missing the spot kick. It happens in rugby - they serve what's time is left in the game. eddie
It happens in rugby - they serve what's time is left in the game. And they have umpires in cricket and guns in clay pigeon shooting - but the discussion is about football.
AndyinLiverpool
It's a good idea. Punish teams there and then, so that the wronged team can derive some benefit. Do it for diving.
