networker1884
The timing is an interesting one. A few points need to be raised, firstly McClaren's contract expiring this week, coincidence? Also right after the forest game? Did the club think the backlash from the result would be enough to gain agreement in his sacking? Also to that point what the club have done that is very clever. They have appointed Walsall in charge for tomorrow nights game, so that he can limit the backlash from the fans, not just that, but it means McClaren won't be there for the boo's that are inevitable. He will come in for an important game that is Leeds where there should be a good attendance due to the opposition, and everything looks merry. No? Jacko1983
it is the timing that has shocked me more than anything, the board have had plenty of chances to get rid if they wanted to. Didnt we lose 8 straight games at the end of last season? most managers in the league would have gone then, regardless of how well they were doing beforehand. networker1884
Or did Sam Rush wait until a defeat to our local rivals before he pushed the board into going ahead with his plan? eh?

BOB BIGGS
Or did Sam Rush wait until a defeat to our local rivals before he pushed the board into going ahead with his plan? eh? Absolutely. That becomes ever clearer. He would have wanted a result like this to pounce.
