My grannie was so superstitious, she believed that if the cat sat with its back to the fire, it was a sign of rain.

If she had washing out, rain looked imminent, and the cat had it's back to the fire, she would pick it up and turn it round.

Fact.

Can't recall if it was a successful ploy or not.

I haven't got any, I think I'd like some, could be fun. Any suggestions?

Michael Owen hasn't got any either. “I don't believe in superstitions. I just do certain things because I'm scared in case something will happen if I don't do them.”

Almost everyone in sports are like that. Even some of the fans.

Its Friday 13th this week, I generally try to avoid doing important stuff like travelling.

Not that superstitious though, just like things done the same way

I remember when I was wanting to take my driving test and the date came through and it clashed with my holiday so I rang to cancel and re-arrange and the woman said that they'd had thousands of cancellations UK wide for the week before, It was in 2006, June the 6th.

Don't get me a card this week btw. Don't. No I mean it. Not a card. Certainly no money in a card. You shouldn't.

When I was younger it was always -

Gotta run home without stopping or summat bad will happen

Gotta get to that tree in ten seconds or summat bad will happen

Gotta touch every (whatever) I see or summat bad will happen

Apparently it's quite a common thing to do as a child, did anyone else do it?

Don't do it anymore, that would be sad
