Ambitious
I obviously never saw them play, but how can Kevin Hector be worth less than Jordan Rhodes??
mozza
Seth Johnson was never worth £7m , either , just trying to be realistic with my valuations .. tbh , none of todays players are a patch on the team we had , we'd walk the Prem , with that team , no bull.. G STAR RAM
There is no such thing as a realistic valuation of a player. A player is only worth what someone will pay for them.
mozza
After seeing the obscene value put on GB , i tend to agree..
Brammie Steve
if the players of Derbys' 1970/71 team were valued today i'd say.. Les Green £500.000 Ron Webster £1,5 m John Robson £ 1,5m Alan Durban £3m Roy Mcfarland £7m Colin Todd £10m John McGovern £1m (at a push) Willie Carlin £3m John O'Hare £2m Kevin Hector £7m Alan Hinton £5m Frank Wignall £1m Let the arguments begin.. So that means the entire team would cost £43 million. A half share of Bale! I agree that these figures are probably commensurate with inflation over the past 42 years. It just shows how crazy football/confetti/ monopoly money has become doesn't it? Bet Nige would love to manage a team like this!!!!!
