QPR Buying again

QPR manager Harry Redknapp says the club have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Scott Parker.

The 32-year-old, who played under Redknapp at White Hart Lane, made 30 appearances for Spurs last season.

"We agreed terms with Tottenham, so it is up to Scott now what he does and to make his mind up whether he wants to come or not," Redknapp said.

"There was an agreement with us and Tottenham but he can go where he wants. We have made a good offer to Scott."

Starting to look like a different league.

If he drops down then that's him done with England for sure? That's got to be a big factor for him. Unless of course he's a greedy, last pay cheque collecting ******?

If he stays in the PL he has a slight chance of adding to his caps.

He's easily good enough too.

Defoe next?

Seriously, can Redknapp go into a club and NOT spend money like water? He's on par with Billy Davies in that respect.

What's this guy achieved in his management career bar keep Spurs in the top flight?

Bris would still have him cos he's a winner and nige is a loser

Can't see anything about wages, this is QPR he probably doubled his wages

Exactly. One of the most expensive second tier teams assembled? Same old Redknapp. Wonder by how much % clubs wages go up/down when he arrives/leaves.

"I won't have the owners pants down"

I'd question Parker's sanity if he wants to drop a division to join that lot. I don't even think they'll finish top 6.

One of my highlights last season was seeing Harry relegated with a decent squad (on paper) & plenty of cash available - destroyed the media myth about him being some kind of managerial & motivational genius. Its vomit inducing how the sports journos fawn over him - simply because he's a Cockney lad & calls them by their first name as if they're actually important. Is absolutely laughable that this clown was seriously considered as a potential England manager - a sad indictment on the state of football in this country.

Anyone else hoping QPR crash and burn , or is it just me ?

I honestly dislike QPR more than forest, if the playoff final this year was forest and QPR i'd be rooting for Forest. Everything about QPR just pisses me off no end.

Then you add Harry to the mix and it just makes it worse and worse and worse.

I was in the 'Arry for England camp, no money to spend so can't financially destroy the national team. I liked the way Spurs played and he's entertaining. Players want to play for him, Rooney called for him to get the job and I can see why.

QPR will go up this season, I'd put money on it....in fact I think I have

I wouldn't go that far  :o however, I wouldn't mind...

QPR players didn't want to play for him last season clearly. Paolo Futre & Florin Raducioiu didn't at West Ham. He's got 2 teams relegated now out of the Premiership. I reckon his "man management" skills are largely a myth.

As for him being England manager, while I wouldn't disagree Spurs were a good watch, you can't play that way at international level. He'd be exactly the same as Kevin Keegan - another media darling renowned for his "motivational skills", gung-ho attacking (if they ever had the ball), no tactical idea & ultimately unsuccessful. No offence but Wayne Rooney's recommendation is hardly worth high regard either.

I don't think Harry is this great manager, I also don't think he is that bad. While you claim his motivation skills a myth, surely for a manger to win the fa, coach a team to 4th and they did pretty well in the champions league when they were in it he must have some tactical knowledge and a lot more than any of us.
