“The Lottery, with its weekly pay-out of enormous prizes, was the one public event to which the proles paid serious attention. It was probable that there were some millions of proles for whom the Lottery was the principal if not the only reason for remaining alive. It was their delight, their folly, their anodyne, their intellectual stimulant. Where the Lottery was concerned, even people who could barely read and write seemed capable of intricate calculations and staggering feats of memory. There was a whole tribe of men who made their living simply by selling systems, forecasts, and lucky amulets. Winston had nothing to do with the Lottery, which was managed by the Ministry of Plenty, but he was aware (indeed everyone in the party was aware) that the prizes were largely imaginary. Only small sums were actually paid out, the winners of the big prizes being nonexistent persons.”

Maybe they are following this system.....

Struggling to see how there would be a £7.9m jackpot, say 30k Derby fans have a ticket each that's 45k?

Is there a rollover if nobody wins?

Looks like a country wide that has had a site branded for dcfc I assume other clubs will have the same & but it all goes into one big pot the only difference being DCFC take a cut of the profits from the company for every one of our fans that sign's up & buys tickets ( like a commission )

To play you pick 6 numbers and a Derby County legend, I assume the legend is the bonus ball, that would mean it was just a club lottery right?

So is the jackpot split across all the clubs? If so how many clubs are involved?

The national lottery ticket prices will be going up to £2 per line this autumn.

With Rams Lotto, supporters can play for the chance to win millions of pounds and, at the same time, contribute directly towards the future success of Derby County.

All proceeds that the club receives from Rams Lotto will be donated in full to the DCFC Academy, which aims to identify, develop and nurture the next generation of first-team talent.

Didn't realise the National Lottery was going up..oof!

Still the National Lottery is also upping the prize for matching 3 numbers from £10 to £25. Realistically 3 numbers is all any of us are ever going to win.

Rams Lotto £1.50 for a ticket, £8 for 3 numbers

National Lotto £2 a ticket, £25 for 3 numbers

I get the whole "investing in the club" element, but let me tell you this:

If people want to invest their hard-earned wages in the club that they love whilst gambling against the odds of success that we will more often than not be miserably disappointed then we already have a lottery for that.

It's called BUYING A SEASON TICKET

Good point, well made.

Found another club involved Hibernian, rather than go to the academy the money goes to the managers player fund. I'd play the Derby one if it went towards a centre back, the club get 39p per £1.50 line, how many lines do we need to get say a Leon Barnett at 750k?

The thing about this "Rams Lotto" is that it's just a branded thing, like the "Rams Player" from a company, so this is a company that will most likely be partnered with every football club, so actually it's not a Jackpot for just our team.. it's a jackpot for the entire league and just OUR supporters who pay derby will get the money.. So it's just a football branded lottery..

Won't be paying for this ****
