Stedcfc
Chris Wood 1 mill -Proven goalscorer before he was signed. Conor Sammon 1.2 mill - scored 1 goal in english football before Nige decides his perfect for us. No logic Chris wood is costing at least twice as much as sammon in wages which will more than bridge the gap over a 3 year contract you can't just look at the fee
ChaddesdenRam
Sammon needs a player alongside him simples
davenportram
Sammon is always picking up the ball in non threatening positions, in non threatening areas of the pitch in non threatening directions. He seems to love picking up the ball facing our goal with a player right behind him. can only pick the ball up where it comes to him. back to goal with someone running off him means he has someone to give the ball to Ward has a free roll to pkay off him ir go wide fir a few minutes at a time in a game. He gravutates to the touchline ( Cloughs words) and hides (my words) We played better before Ward came back) and Sammon might look better

-JW-
So it seems Sammon has taken over Theos responsibility from last year as the DCFC scapegoat.
Derbiean
How do people know we payed £1.2m for Sammon? In any case he was awful today along with the rest of the team.

Clough said on RD that Danny Murphy ? And there two centre forwards probably add up to more than an entire squads wages. We must pay peanuts and so get monkies
jimbobram
So it seems Sammon has taken over Theos responsibility from last year as the DCFC scapegoat. I think Theo is unfairly critised. He scores goals, he cant control a ball very well, but he scores goals. Nigels logic = drop him and put a striker who cant score goals just because his a big lad. Sammon is being played in the wrong formation by a bad tactician.

Probably because he wasn't bought for scoring goals Clough has said all along he's there to cause problems for other strikers to benefit but they want him to score a few along the way which he's done. There's usually a reason league 1/2 strikers are paying there obviously there's exceptions. Im gonna go with Clough, Martinez and trappatoni and say that sammon is a good player. No defender would want to play against him. He's not there to score the goals it's the player who should be up there with him that is but sammon is being used as a scapegoat

We must pay peanuts and so get monkies Paying our players peanuts is fair enough, just dont spend 1.2 mil on a player like sammon who cant play up front on his own (which is how Clough insists on playing even though results have proven it doesnt work)
