I don’t get this hang up on wealth. We’ve had a rich owner; let’s just wish for a good one.
in any case, Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones have a wealth less than a sixth of the Clowes family and they have run Norwich pretty well for the last 25 years.

Clowes also has the advantage of being close to part of the process already, allegedly being close to owning Pride Park alongside the failed CK bid he/his legal team will have done a massive amount of due diligence on the stadium deal already

Consistent stories from Dorsett, Percy and Nixon who have all ran varying lines throughout this process would suggest there’s a lot of substance to this. There’s been this talk of local businessmen not letting the club fold, could he have gathered some funds from his wealthy pals and said “I’ll front the bid if you all chip a bit in on top”?

This is good news. If he’s successfully let’s hope he doesn’t let his heart rule his head and puts the right people around him. I think there’s a difference between MM and DC. MM has chased the fast buck and got a bit lucky in the IT world. We saw that in how he ran the club. DC has built his wealth through progress over time. I hope he does the same here.
His wealth will still be a lot in L1 terms. And it’s not all about how much you spend, it’s how you spend it and there’s no finer example than our club. If his plan is a reset, stick to a plan with no hiring and firing cos the day ends in a Y, aim to get back in the Championship and then after 2 - 3 years sell to someone who can take it on to the next level that sounds very sensible. It’s what Steve Morgan did at Wolves.

A new company has been set up:
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/14190771/filing-history
2 directors, DC and an Ian Dickinson.
Interesting that it lists DC as a pilot - hoping he sets us up to fly up the table!

He’s already shown his commitment after “beating off” the other three interested parties

I'm sorry, but it feels like if a consortium of Rooney, Clough and Wanchope made an offer people would be critical. I have a bottle of bubbly, and if this is confirmed it is going into ice. I, frankly, don't care who the new owner is - so long as WE survive.
This guy doesn't own Sports Direct, he is not an American charlatan, he has his wealth in the UK, so no US money laundering. He actually supports the club. We might be adrift in the ocean, but we have just spotted a small vessel with the British Ensign.
Nothings done until there is ink on paper, but at least the printer is going to being switched on.

Can’t believe THIS …. Sent my dad the SSN tweet and he came back and said “yeah I was talking to someone yesterday at my golf club and they said it’s close”.
The one time I could of been ITK and he didn’t even bother to tell me!!!

I REALLY dislike the line about club staff finding out officially in the morning. I can imagine everyone inside the club is sick to the back teeth of finding out via social media and/or SSN first.

Longer clip, makes some good comments throughout and offers a little more insight from the players perspective. Sounds like he’d like to stay though has to be realistic about his career. Like the fact he says someone needs to put their money where there mouth is, first time someone tied to the club has called it out in the media for one of these “interested parties” to act rather than talk.
