Wasn't it reported that Whittaker was on the end of racist abuse online from Derby fan(s) after the goal celebration? I don't think any level of goal celebration is deserving of that. Or any abuse in fact.
I have no issue with a former player celebrating a goal against us, it would annoy me if we had a player who scored against a former club and didn't celebrate.

    The media and scientists.
Every time anything happens they are scratching around for the latest 'expert scientist' who will give them their doom mongering view.
Its interesting that other scientists, with the same qualifications but the opposite view would be referred to as 'fringe scientists' rather than experts.
The media want the lockdown re-opening putting back purely so they can rip into the Government with 'but you promised we would scrap all measures on June 21st' type questions.
    Absolute vermin.

Some scientists and the media i would say but the noises from government are opposite of this..this today from the BBC website
Asked about the prime minister's plans amid warnings over the spread of the Indian variant, a No 10 spokesman says: "I was going to point to what the PM said on Thursday."
On Thursday, Johnson said: "I don't see anything currently in the data" to divert from the 21 June target for the next stage of exiting lockdown. But he did concede that "we may need to wait" for more data.
The spokesman continues: "The prime minister has said on a number of occasions that we haven't seen anything in the data but we will continue to look at the data, we will continue to look at the latest scientific evidence as we move through June towards 21 June."

That's what they did say, though:
Only when the government is sure that it is safe to move from one step to the next will the final decision be made. The decision will be based on four tests:
the vaccine deployment programme continues successfully evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS our assessment of the risks is not fundamentally changed by new Variants of Concern and...
    Step 4 - not before 21 June
    Social contact
By Step 4 which will take place no earlier than 21 June, the government hopes to be in a position to remove all legal limits on social contact.

Sorry I don't accept that the messaging was unclear or confusing. Deliberately or otherwise.
The roadmap was designed to have steps of unlocking, 5 weeks apart in order to assess the impact of the previous one. It was always going to be not earlier than June 21st - if all went well. This is supposed to make the process irreversible because, while opening up could be delayed, the last thing anyone wants is to take backward steps again - which hasn't (and in my view) shouldn't happen.
If the tabloids have made it confusing for clicks, then it's not the fault of the official messaging. I think on this, the government has been quite clear from the beginning. Surprisingly.

I personally don't think any club is regularly referred to by it's nickname by supporters of other clubs. I doubt other supporters would say "we're playing the Rams next" same as I'd never refer to Sheffield Wednesday as "the Owls". The only possible exception is Spurs but that is as much an abbreviation of their name as a nickname.

Is this the same Cummings that we were told was a bare faced liar 12 months ago? Amazing how eager some are to hang on his every word now!
Its also noticeable that alot of gone quiet on the comparisons with other countries now that the other countries have had their third wave of infections.
Remember when Germany were the gold standard in track and trace for Europe?
Pretty much all they are left with now are 2 countries out in the middle of nowhere and the middle eastern countries who have had experience of pandemics and are used to walking round wearing masks.

I so wanted to hate Friends, from the dull set up of 6 good looking affluent Americans living together, to the one dimensional characters, to the soppy 'will they, won't they' love stories, to the one-liners honed to within an inch of their lives, to the cringe acting and fake sentiment...nothing was relatable or seemed amusing in any way. But through forced viewings, I eventually had to let it go and admit... it's very funny...it is. It doesn't warm my heart or have the quirkiness I prefer in my humour (ala League of Gentlemen, Peep Show) but its very well written to produce amusement largely from farce.
Its s bit like a McDonald's, yeh there isn't a lot of substance but it definitely appeals to the masses and rather guiltily hits exactly the spot it's intended to.
As for the comments about possible Aniston eye surgery.. Jeez... She has been retouched more times than the skirting board behind my kitchen bin!!
Matt le Blanc came across really well I thought. Seemed a genuinely decent bloke not arsed how he looks whereas Aniston, Cox and Perry in particular looked like they had been hydrated, painted and prepared for their funerals.

In fact they arent even veiled, 4 out of the last 6 posts have been direct attacks on Boris Johnson.
