Hendrick is leaving Burnley. I'm genuinely interested to see where he ends up, I've never been his biggest fan. He has his moments, but far too prone to go through a 90 minute game without being seen. He's now had a pretty full career without any consistent substance to his game - 50 appearances and 2 goals for his country, 122 Premier League games with 9 goals and 5 assists. It's not the best.
AC Milan have been mentioned, which would be great for him, but I can't imagine it would go too well.

Craig Gordon has a steady pair of hands as a backup wouldn't be so bad, but I'd assume Roos is going to stick around and take that role.
Gordon is also someone else who seems to go through peaks and troughs in form. I would like to assume this would be nothing more than an extra body to call upon, presumably cheap (<5k).
If we're bringing him in as number one then god help us all!

I would say no - however, we should be trying to finish above Forest.
They're six points ahead, with a game against us left to play, with seven other games. It's certainly not inconceivable that we finish above them.
That, in itself, would be a nice ending to the season after they looked certain to finish above us.

I honestly thought Hart was good, sometimes very good, for Burnley. He got beat out by an established, probably better goal keeper in the end.
I know he's had a rough few years, he's had some mistakes, but is he good enough for Derby County - easily. It would just be based on wages, but he would be comfortably above Roos and Hamer in terms of ability.

Not bad for a left midfielder bought for £150k. He's constantly come back from injuries and being down in the pecking order, it really is a credit to him. Well deserved.
Malone, at this point, surely will be moved out. Big wages, potentially the third left back in our pecking order, plus he doesn't offer any other cover. It's not like we can play him at RB or CB.

Desperate move from Middlesbrough, but ultimately the right one.
Hiring Woodgate was absolutely nonsensical. He can barely string a sentence together, with nothing else to offer other than 'PASHUN', it was always going to be a car crash. It's just a shame it didn't result in a relegation.
Warnock keeps Boro up, comfortably, in my opinion. He'll strip it back, go back to basics and get 4-5 wins. They still have a good squad, capable of the top six for sure.

Don't worry, he's going to be replaced by Steven Fletcher in the summer so you all have something to really moan about 🤣
For what its worth, I think he's done largely well this season. Saturday, he really played for the team and was significant in our win without putting the ball in the goal himself.

Louie Sibley was my favourite Derby player when he was knocking about in the U18s, so I was made up for him to score the hattrick.
It took less than 2 minutes watching him in the youth team to realise that this kid was very special. He had a bit of bite, an edge... He could really go to the very top. He's just done to a top half Championship side what he was doing to youth teams. He's not missed a step in transition.
I have no doubts that the hattrick will have put him on the radar of every Premier League team, but luckily I think it has potentially increased his value. I imagine there will be a few clubs putting sizable bids in this transfer window (whenever that is). I'm hopeful we can have a couple more years out of him yet.

MOB was a really, really good prospect at one time. It's horrible just how much his health has stopped him from seeing his true potential. It must be horrible for him - hopefully he can find a good life after football!

Ignoring penalties as they skew the figures considerably (for players such as Eze and Benrahma) here's a comparison with the best scorers in the division*:

Marriott from last season sits in the middle of the light green (5.7 shots per goal, 2.6 shots per 90), similar to Martin. I think we could get that Marriott back if he manages to stay free from niggling injuries and we create the type of chance he was getting vs Barnsley.

    *Exclusions:
Players to have scored fewer than Martin overall
Players to have scored fewer than Martin in open play

Ambitious got a reaction from Slaapwekkend P in Mason Bennett
Bennett isn't as bad as advertised. I even think his 'character' issues are massively overblown. We all know that he's renowned as one of the hardest working footballers in the squad, and always has been since he was a kid.
He made a mistake, as big as it was, which led to a video which I'm sure was tongue in cheek. I know a lot of people felt sensitive about it, which is their right, but I highly doubt there was any malice behind it. I would still say reading between the lines that he's a good, honest, hardworking kid trying to make a career.
I would say that he's not quite got the technical ability to really progress on to the next level as a footballer, but he does make his presence known on a pitch with his physicality. I would say that he can make it as a Championship footballer, causing a nuisance and his consistency has improved a lot. He hasn't really gone 'missing' in many games over the past two season, albeit injuries still plague him.
I think Millwall would be a better fit for him; a manager that obviously likes him in a team that obviously has an outstanding work ethic that he can thrive in. I would suspect that Wednesday would pay him more, though, so I wouldn't blame him either way.

Anya had a short-lived good spell at Watford, but his signing really shows/showed the shortcomings of our scouting department.
Released by Wycombe, bounced around non-league clubs, struggled to cement a place in a league club, went to Spain, joined Glenn Hoddle's academy, struggled to make a decent impact in Spain aside from the lower leagues, loaned to Watford whereby he hit some form (not great), he then became a bit-part for Watford as they ascended up the league and we picked up a below-average player on a high wage for a decent price.
If you had looked at his history, how he struggled for form or to even hold down a place at a club level then it should've been a huge red flag. It's not like we picked up a talented footballer with the world at his feet who failed to make the grade. We picked up a try-hard footballer with a list of failures and didn't bat an eyelid.
This is quite simply a signing that shouldn't have been made and its not a surprise that it ended badly.
