Surely, in general with most grounds, the seats along the side are often more expensive because they afford a better view of the whole pitch than either behind the goal or in the corners? Therefore why would you (or why should you) reduce the prices?
I agree with previous posters that having the away fans sandwiched between the South Stand and those towards the southern end of the East Stand is actually better for the atmosphere as it probably increases the banter between rival supporters and, to an extent, allow the east stand singers and south standers to feed off each other.
As for “looking better” isn’t that just for the cameras? Do we care that much what it looks like on TV?
It’s an interesting idea but I’d leave well alone not least because of the logistical challenges it might create.

Leave the East Stand alone, thank you.
Why would moving the away fans make for a better atmosphere?
The Rams fans in the East Stand on the other side of the away fans do our bit in creating the atmosphere.
And after sitting in the same seat since the Queen opened PPS. I don't want to be forced to move to the South Stand or god forbid the West Stand. It's bad enough having to do it for certain cup games.

So you want to move season ticket holders that have been there since Pride Park opened.
If it’s so popular and in high demand they could increase the price inline with the East stand.

“Champions of League 2, you’ll never sing that” I think it was.  Great stuff, really witty - plenty in South Stand applauded.

Those seasons all had one thing in common, a lack of widespread social media.
The moaners and the WUMs never had a platform in those years beyond their own small social circle.
I'm sure that I would have been a lot happier this season, if I hadn't constantly reading some of the negative rubbish on here. But I like to read and write about the Rams with a vast majority of the fans on here and so put up with it. My way of combating it, is to have a few days away from the forum after a defeat or particularly poor display.

Fair play to the Orient fans BTW. Came in good numbers for a (for them) nothing game, 2-0 down by half-time and their team hardly venturing over the halfway line, but they stayed the courser and made a noise, giving some witty responses to the South Stand. Hope they do well next season.

I remember a time, not very long ago, when fans bemoaned that our corners and set-pieces never came to anything. Now we're the most effective team in the division in that regard so, of course, fans have to find something else to criticise the manager for, despite the fact that, when Orient actually had to come out and play, we created enough opportunities to have more than doubled our score. Imagine what Dwight Gayle might have done with those chances...
I hope we keep banging in those corners and crosses in the remaining two games. Any team will struggle to defend the quality of cross we produced consistently yesterday. Of course, if we can also take  chances like the ones we did create yesterday, that would make us all much less stressed.

I agree. I think Smith was hugely influential throughout the game. Adams breaks play up, the enforcer, Tommo never lets anyone breath but it was Smith as the fulcrum. Quick to pass, not too many touches, sees the ball that unglues things and sets us going forward. I can’t comment on away games but every time I see him at PP he does it right and makes us look more polished as a unit.

Technically they were right but only because, for one reason or another, proven goal scorers were presented with very good goal scoring opportunities which they failed to take yesterday. Any fans that may have said they couldn’t see any goals in that line up kind of implies they couldn’t see us creating such chances for those players.

Yesterday morning I said it would be a good day if Derby won, I could pick the Grand national winner and then win the lottery.
    Predicted a 3 nil win, ✔️
Backed the winner on the national, ✔️
2 numbers on the lottery, free lucky dip, 😂✔️

    Totally agree.
I tend to hear the starting 11 as soon as it’s announced (really just to see if there are any injuries) but will never comment (not that I remember) on it before the game. I’m quite capable of making a fool of myself in other respects (and comments) without prejudging a team selection only to end up with egg on my face.

I think the beeb was, and still is, unsure. Go to their results page and click on the game and you'll see the opener down as an OG. Scroll down into the match report and it says Wilson scored it.
I said pre match that matching the midweek 1st half performance but with improved shooting would see us win. We didn't match it, we bettered it and kept it up all game. 3 goals, all from set pieces, and we won at a canter in the end. The O's managed 6 shots, none of them on target meaning JW had a quiet afternoon. Great performance from the crowd too. Here's to those lucky enough to have a ticket for Cambridge make lots of noise as usual. See y'all for the Carlisle game.

It's back in our own hands. Keep calm. Keep focused. We'll be rate.

You don't have to apologise to me, everyone is allowed their opinion and I certainly don't believe mine is any more valid than yours.
Just think it's sad to see so many of our supporters clearly not enjoying what could turn out to be one of our best seasons, for so many reasons, in the last 50 odd years.

Three goals from corners was misleading somewhat, just in the second half alone Sibley and NML missed 1 on 1s and Washington somehow managed to miss two good chances in injury time.
Good performance overall. I rolled my eyes at Bradley regaining his place after his outing at Northampton and whilst I still loathe his inability to defend without wrestling, he clearly did the business in the opposition box. Luckily we were barely tested at the back. Maybe Warne had done his homework on their crossing fragility?
Felt like there was more urgency and intensity from early in the game. We were even taking throw ins quite quickly..! Novel idea given our usual penchant for taking ages and throwing it to the opposition.
Wilson lively early, Adams everywhere, Thompson pressed well. One of Collins best games for me even without scoring. Came short and held the ball up properly.

    Well said @Jourdan
Can I also add, a couple of years ago, maybe more, maybe less, your posts would irritate the hell out of me and maybe others? as I found them really negative but I think this falling in love and getting married malarkey has changed your outlook on Derby County and possibly out with other things in your life.

Well done @Jourdan I like your new style and enjoy reading your posts on the forum now and as you say such needless negativity when nothing is set in stone……….
Enjoy life, we only get one shot at it.

There’s nothing to be fearful about in the Championship and I can’t believe this narrative is already being pushed.
The jump in quality really isn’t that significant, outside of the usual teams we see every year that are leaning on parachute payments to keep their squads together. Even then these teams are nothing close to infallible, especially in one off games.
A third of promoted teams from League 1 in the past five years have not only gone up and consolidated their position but they have competed at the right end of the Championship table, in some cases getting promoted or mightily close.
The teams that usually go up and find their way back to League 1 are the ones without the resources or infrastructure to hold their own.
We are only going to end up like Rotherham, Wycombe, Barnsley, Blackpool, Peterborough and others if we show a serious lack of ambition financially or there is a lack of synergy and effective strategy behind the scenes.
If Clowes, Pearce, Thomas, Hale and Warne are all working well and pulling in the same direction, why is it beyond us to build a competitive squad for the Championship, one that could finish 15-18th in year one, for instance?
No-one stands still and neither will we. Everyone resets. Teams get better. Teams get worse. Managers change. Managers improve. Managers decline.
There are so many variables at play, why would we be fearful now when we can work towards a stronger position over the summer? Such needless negativity when nothing is set in stone.

Think Portsmouth and Derby going up is the best result judging the season as a whole. Both too big for this league anymore. Hopefully the draw we gave Bolton today (tbh they could be right to feel bad not to take all three points) will be enough to get you guys over the line.

Good result for you guys. Hopefully see you in the championship next season.

Really enjoyable game today, good atmosphere and probably the least nervous I have felt in a while. An early goal always helps! I thought everyone played well so hard to pick anyone out today, but well done to Sonny for atoning for his red card debacle! Looking forward to Cambridge now, I hope results go our way so that we can finish the job there and enjoy the last game already up, but as this is Derby I'm not really expecting that! COYR!

Before others go off on tonight's matchthread tangent, I just wanted to say what an enjoyable afternoon at Pride Park. A cracking atmosphere, good football and a deserved win.
I  had assumed Warne would revert to a back three, simply because it allows Sibley and Wilson to get forward more. I thought both were excellent,  but it was the inclusion of Thommo that made all the difference.  It gave us a midfield three with tenacity and bite. As a result, all the other parts of the team played better than midweek. Collins, especially,  looked so much better in the role today, and although Mendez-Laing's traditional wing play is sacrificed in this formation, he managed to get out wide at times, delivered good set pieces and could have had a couple of goals on the break.
Although I loved the set-piece goals, I do wish we could finish some of our chances created in open play, as it would do our confidence the world of good.
Still, the defence was excellent,  snuffing out the few chances that Orient created, and providing the goals, too.
It was difficult to choose a MOTM today as there are so many contenders.
And as Warne said afterwards, no further injuries.
Results went our way so automatic promotion is back in our hands. Play like this for the last two games and we are there!

Given the pressure on us going into the game I thought that was as comfortable a performance as we could have hoped for and a further 2 or 3 goals from open play wouldn't have gone amiss.
Some of the stupid comments posted when the starting X1 was announced were embarrassing, churlish and infantile - I do wonder at some fans.
