That's patently not true though, my complaint has been (and it has been evident)  that he doesn't sit back and/or do anything, tactically,  to defend the a lead but rather continues trading blows.
If he's changed things today to try to ensure some defensive solidarity that's a positive sign
...as long as it was a tactical change and not just throwing some more defensively minded players on willy nilly to kick / block / clear on an individual basis, but even that would. be more than he's tried previously so I can't really complain.

Just seen the penalty decision. Wouldn't say it was definitely a pen but can see why it was given. Should have been aware of the player that was going for the ball.

We might scrape playoffs by some miracle but we're nowhere near good enough to go up.

Threadbare yes, but if all he can offer is this disjointed stuff that he calls footie, that's no good enough for me. I have had it with the "small squad", "no money", "we are lucky to have a club narrative". If all he can offer what is currently played with tye likes of Hourihane, Barkz, Bird, Cash, Wildsmith, an on fire Didzy, NML, Knight, Smith... all players that have played higher up at a decent level, then I'm sorry it's just not good enough, threadbare squad or not.

Would like to see Warne change something now, before they score.  Fozzy on, move Rooney forward,  bird on, rest NML and Hourihane and bring on Dobbin and Sibley.
NML and Hourihane will get no better now and as they tire we’ll be vulnerable at the back.

Rovers look quite neat in possession but thankfully with dreadful end product. Quite surprised we haven’t got Foz in today for some experience at the back.

I won't respond to the amortisation point because that isn't what was being discussed.
You also seemed to totally have missed the point on the ground.
It was valued by one of the biggest surveyors in the world.
You seem to be suggesting the ground could be worth less than £23m, so you are also suggesting that these experts got the valuation wrong by around 300%?
Regardless of that the transaction was agreed with the EFL, who were in receipt of all of the facts, so for them to later charge us was criminal.
If you want to argue that the value was wrong I get that, but would be interested to know your credentials for taking on one of the biggest commercial property valuers in the world. If you want to claim we were 'let off lightly' given the facts above then I really don't know what to say.

Everyone does.  We have clubs trying to pass FFP by claiming they planned to sell players for ridiculous sums to comply with FFP but couldn't. Magic bean compliance. If there was any problem with these accounts the EFL had ample opportunity to flag it and we could have sold players.  As such they were responsible more than the club was.  A moot point as these accounts were cleared as acceptable when they stuck their nose in years after the event to cover their arses.  No rule applied at the time of filing.

    He didn’t say ‘all along’.

But as things got really serious for us the EFL was crapping itself we’d go under and it was clear to anyone not biased who was paying attention that they were trying to help us. Jesus, Rick Parry was personally responding to fans’ emails ! Still can’t believe that one ...
edit: I’m not suggesting Rick is Jesus

Collins had a big game Monday and nearly bagged one from the far post. It’s not an easy call - I can’t believe how often he’s back in our own box picking up the pieces. Very hard to judge how valuable he is given his work rate. If only he could damn well head the ball

A malaise can set in, if say we miss promotion twice. Harder to recruit, we play worse football, gates fall, the academy suffers further, sponsorship (what’s left) evaporates, Capex is reduced etc.  Surely you don’t want your team to be a perennial underachiever.

No I’d rather be in the prem  If Brentford and Brighton can do it, why not us ?

iIRC, what Rooney (?LR) quite cleverly did for several games was indeed play short, possession football but occasionally push Fozzie high up on the left and quite successfully use him as the long-ball outlet when the press got too much. Fozzie unsurprisingly generally won the aerial ball and tried to find CKR or whomever with his flick on. It seemed a good enough ploy (albeit predictable and off the blackboard) and it had some success. It certainly forced the oppo to reset and took the sting out of the press. But sadly The flying Scotsman was dropped and replaced by Buchanan’s sideways floppiness and we were relegated.

One thing you do have to give credit to Warne is getting fully stuck in with our traditions as a club. He’s fully immersed himself with our annual Lent/Easter collapse in form.
