What a brilliant night! Dan (B4) and Angie Vallance received the Alfreton supporters award.  I almost missed it as I was in the loo 😂 the glass award is lovely and will have pride of place in my parents house. The players looked visibly touched when it was announced Dan and Angie were being awarded posthumously. It was lovely to see so over 200 people there to celebrate DCFC and those who love the club. I had no idea what to expect but it was amazing. Lovely food and company. I had no idea the players and David Clowes would be there, so that was a lovely surprise.

That’s the main point. Who is this mythical manager who will solve all ills? If he’s so good, why would he join us? Presumably, he’s in League 1 or 2 or is a present Championship manager who wants to stake his reputation on coming here and building a team? Or is it a manager currently working on Europe?
Or….don’t these people know and just want to see the back of PW at any price and with any outcome? I can’t think who would want that though. 😎

    Its utterly ridiculous.
We've been crying out for stability for years, the moment we start actually doing well and potentially finishing in the automatic promotion positions for the first time in god knows how long, some fans are wanting PW sacked and are happy to take a punt on whoever - could be better, could be worse - may come in next.
If it was them lot up the road, I'd be falling over laughing.

In place of who though? To finish in the top 2 we’d have needed 22 more points at least, that’s a big, big swing for another manager to achieve. And it was with a squad assembled by somebody else. You’ve said before “I hate this team”, so clearly the players didn’t have what it took any way?
I’m not Warne’s number 1 fan, I’m not sold that he is the right long term option for us and I’d have been very happy to see him sacked after Stevenage away. But he’s gone on to make us dogged, resilient and efficient.
I can accept people may dislike his playing style or his personality, whatever, but I can’t see how anybody could argue that he’s not done an excellent job - providing we finish the job - given the circumstances.
He’s taken a side who was pieced together under restrictions by a different manager, straight out of administration, and built an ethos and an atmosphere that a lot have clearly bought into. I really don’t think it matters how big a side we are or how many fans we have, to be in this position 20 months after nearly ceasing to exist is a wonderful achievement.
Whether he finishes next season as our manager or not will remain to be seen, but he absolutely deserves the opportunity to take us into the Championship.

Trust me, if we are around bottom 4 or 5 it will be well before Xmas that the negatives start!

Incredible really, here we are on the cusp of bagging promotion with club record points and still there are "Fans" who are more interested in agitating for a change in manager. I think Lionel had the right idea some years ago telling such people what they could do. Take a trip down the A52 if I recall. Top chap Lionel and we all owe a debt to him. I remember when he appointed Jim Smith and many also moaned.
Fingers crossed for crossing the line and I'm hoping Warne will do a good job developing the squad and establishing us as a middle third upwardly looking championship team next season, which is what he has been given the target to do by the board.
I'm very thankful we have an astute owner, who is putting the club on a stable footing, and not sacking managers all the time.

That’s two good/determined and disciplined games in a row after Northampton.
lots to be happy with and relieved  Collo can play 60 mins plus we will need him against Wycombe
CBT is helping the team whilst NML goes through a spell of less impactful form
if we can get those two performing well at the same time
The only posts that have distracted me from feeling good about the point gained tonight have been those that have been a little bit OTT
one poster in particular i felt over did it with the expletives. I like that our forum doesn’t really have swear words .. at least not aggressively directed at another poster anyway
Bris hasn’t dampened any of my enjoyment and I’m surprised others have allowed him to seemingly dampen there’s. I don’t like censorship and I don’t like .. self appointed policing (not talking about mods)
whilst I don’t agree with all he says @Caerphilly Ram is an example to us all regarding staying polite/ respectful and objective (most of the time 😂)when messaging with those who propose a view that he doesn’t share.

    Ebou Adams well played
Corey Smith really good input over the past 5 or so games since his return
great that I’m feeling a touch of disappointment with a draw when I would have bitten your arm off for a point pre kick off
Please let us go up via the automatics and please let it not go to the last game of the season (I think we all know it will!)
nelshin player(s) of the season for me

That’s hugely disrespectful to @ the running man whose post about sacking the manager has undoubtedly galvanised Warne into a brilliant tactician and led us to glory against Lincoln, Bristol and Bolton. You’ll be saying next that Adams had made a difference. Lay off it

I came down for one of my rare 400 mile return trips. Nerve wracking,  Bolton are a good team but we defended brilliantly.

I’ve been watching the Rams for 60 years. What a great result even if it was tough going. So every Rams fan would love it….? Not the bloke in front of me who “can’t wait to get Warne out of the Club”. I suspect he was disappointed that we won as it didn’t suit his agenda. I have a word that describes him and others like him. I’ll leave it to you all to decide what it is😄
Well done to all players and management for finding a way to continue to pick up points and keeping us in the mix👏

What would bring you joy in football? It appears beating a promotion rival in what was essentially an evenly balanced game isn’t the answer. Here’s how I saw it as someone who likes seeing their team win football Matches, with some of the stats I can find online to support my view…

    - The team we all (supposedly) support showed grit and determination to earn a key result yesterday, big plus for me there.

    - The possession stats are fairly even (44% to us 56% to them) which backs up what I saw during the game, they had spells with the ball and we had spells with the ball.
    - The attempts on goal, well we had 10 shots with 3 on target and they had 6 shots with 3 on target, so they didn’t create massively more than we did in terms of attempts which tallies with what I saw yesterday.

    - 6 corners and 1 yellow card a piece, pretty balanced there.
    - we made a total of 280 passes with 62% accuracy, they made a total of 385 with 67% accuracy so they won there…I did however notice our players intentionally standing off their defence and allowing them to have the ball which seems a tactical decision to allow them the ball, so my simple observation there is we allowed them to pass it more and they didn’t do much with it…
    - the stats I’ve found say we had 1 big chance each and missed 1 big chance each…. Balanced again.
    - we had 3 blocked shots, they had 1. Our keeper made 3 saves, theirs made 2. So while our keeper was busier they blocked some of our efforts which could have resulted in their keeper making more saves…
    - we made 9 interceptions to their 3 and 32 clearances to their 25, backing up the work our defence did to keep them out.
    - we scored 1 goal, they score 0.
So in summary, as I thought yesterday and still today having looked over the numbers, it was a balanced game between two teams at this level, both had chances, both defended well, each side approached the game slightly different to the other and we scored from a set piece to win…. Hooray!
