By the 70s football was on a high even little old Derby County won 2 Division 1 titles, The 80s were upon us and a new bread of footballer was moving in...the foreigner, These players bought a new way of playing and showed what can be done with a little gamesmanship a word that wasn't used then but it was seen as a way to get an advantage on the opposition...and then.
Sky TV came along and changed football forever...millions/billions of £ $ €, Football has moved into the stratosphere where players are earning £500k a week are seen as equal to the movie stars and pop stars, But with all this it has brought misery and destruction to some clubs see Derby County 😡
I've been watching Derby since 1966 as a 10 year old and seen how football has changed for the good and bad, My love for the game is like a Cow in the field chewing grass...it's there so I'll watch it, But that grass has to find a way out of the cows system and for me it's what football has turned into...sh!t

2 young adults who, like my 21 year old, lost a couple of their formative and what could be great years to pandemic lockdowns. Emerging to spread their wings and start to experience life, to be cruelly cut down.

Well said David I live in Nottingham and it has brought devastation to the city. I just feel so sad for those 2 young students who had there life ahead of them taken so tragically plus the caretake at the school as well my condolences to there family and friends. 

It's understandable that a lot of fans despise Man City because of there ownership, Newcastle will be the next team to hate because of there owners once they start winning something. This is what The Premier League/Sky created there monster. I would love to know what Brian Clough would think of today's football. Thanks for your opinions.

On this planet, we have good and bad people of all nationalities, skin colour, and genders.
Do not let outlets like the Daily Mail or GB News let you believe otherwise, distracting the story away from 3 innocent lives being taken yesterday.
Not only are they 3 innocent lives, it's a city where many on this forum live and may have connections to those that sadly lost their lives.
That's the real story here. 
This is not the platform to bring attention to any of the race baiting content freely accessible on other platforms, or to score points against those of you that like to lock horns derailing topics in this particular board.
3 innocent lives were taken yesterday.

First post heading that direction was stive regards race baiting for clicks then you compound this by linking free speech and facism,
the only concern right now is the tragedy of lost lives and establishing the FACTS of what has happened , how and why
