24Charlie got a reaction from norwichram in Wiil you be disappointed if we finish outside the top 2???
My concern is how to beat the poohouse.
We have never showed any inclination of being able to defeat the Championships dross with any consistency for some years now. League 1 is packed full of such teams. We have regularly beaten top six sides but not those who come to disrupt.
Our side again seems to be full of players who can play the beautiful game but all it takes is 11 fit guys harassing around and we won't be able to get our game going.
I have seen nothing so far in the signings that we have made that we have a plan B. We need a big, route 1, striker or  I think we'll struggle and Liam will be sacked by Christmas. .

I think getting Davies to sign a new deal is vital right now.
We need a strong leader to keep a check on these big characters coming in. Rosenior doesn't seem the kind of guy to mete out a decent boIllocking when it's needed which is why I think Curtis is the key to making a team out of them. If this all comes to pass we could be in for a real treat this season.

It wasn't all sweetness and light last season either. He got himself a three match ban which resulted in 3 straight defeats and it could be argued stopped the momentum we'd built up which meant we failed to catch Reading.
Lawrence as has been said can be brilliant and had a better than average season last year but looking at, hopefully what is coming in today, I think we'll be fine without him.

I’m not sure why @Magicmandid a laugh emoji. Seems a bit odd to me ?
LS is most definitely the type of player who could feed off a target man, lurk on the edge of the box to burst in and shoot. It where he’s been his most effective. Whether he really can cut it as a genuine second striker or late arriving midfielder on a regular basis is a moot point, but I think it’s where he looks and feels most comfortable. It depends on his final developed  ability + consistency and the system we play. The jury is out for me but he needs a chance and now could be the time.

Ravel has gone. I’ll be amazed if Lawrence stays so  surely this leaves the path open for Sibley to make his mark on the No10 berth.

No sentiment in football. If I was DCFC I’d be telling Curtis there’s the deal we haven’t got time to mess about as you of all people know that so either sign or go. We have to know where we stand quickly.

Don't think our attritional style of play demonstrated over the past couple of seasons is well suited to getting out of League 1

It's the same as too many youngsters at Derby, including Gordon and Delap over the last couple of years.
The difference between Derby going into administration and not Birmingham is that they had a loyal youngster called Jude Bellingham who waited until his 17th birthday, signed a contract with Blues, so they could sell him next day for £25M. In recognition of his loyalty Blues have 'retired' his shirt number.

Shows what the club means to this city. Just looking on twitter and forums, the outpouring of emotion, people have suffered for this. The action of one man nearly brought the club to it knees. The action of 20,000 + and one man with the finances and determination has saved this club.
Tonight isn't about the "having a party when derby die" brigade and the posters on here who reveled in our potential demise. It's about, you, me, or fathers and mothers who raised us Derby and our children who we did the same.
Whatever happens next season. Whoever pulls on the shirt. Whatever the results may be, the person sat next to me, the person stood waiting at the bar pre match, the person asking for onions on their burger, the kid in full replica kit, the old boy remembering reg Carter, are all Derby. This is our club. We have a future. I intent to enjoy every minute of it.

The collective trains of thought that run through these threads could keep cognitive  scientists in work for years.
From some speculation that the ‘issue’ is ‘something’ to do with Moor Farm - nobody knows what - the thread has gone on to conclude that Moor Farm is going to be a housing estate (why - seemingly because Erewash councillors are all Forest fans!?!?), we’ve then moved on to Clowes wanting to develop Moor Farm (why - because he’s a developer, so stands to reason right), then - as a result of these nailed on certainties - we’ve moved on to identifying alternative locations for a training ground, moving existing businesses, without any consideration for the costs of such things, the time it would take to achieve, whether the businesses want to move, where they’d move to etc and then onto all our yesterdays and how it was all wonderful before anybody built industrial and retail units on an industrial estate and retail park and they should have left it as fields (not that it was) or railway sidings (which would have been unused) or should have turned it into parkland (where does all the industry go… fields?). And then we have some moaning about traffic in Pride Park… all from ‘the remaining issue is something to do with Moor Farm’.
Fascinating really. Proving the rule that nature abhors a vacuum.

That's going to be very interesting then, considering that it's just a few short years ago that EBC blocked Morris' plan to further develop the Training Ground on the basis of overdevelopment in the green belt ?
I mean, how much of their personal wealth are Red Dog councillors willing to forfeit when they're prosecuted for Malfeasance In Office?
PS: Is this in addition to Mike Ashley's injunction?

There's plans to build houses on the Chad side of Acorn Way. Locko estates want a piece of the action and want to double the rent or they'll evict DCFC and cash in on the housing boom.
Erewash Borough Council, in which the Locko Estate lies, has it's Headquarters in Long Eaton which has a Nottinghamshire postcode. The Red Dog filth are apparently prepared to listen to a plan to build affordable housing on Moor Farm.

    No not happening today.
Ashley hijack is the most likely cause. He’s probably filed an injunction to stop the sale pending the outcome of his action against Q regarding the assumed PB status in Jan.

There could be a nice little outcome from the Ashley action against Q and that could be that an Ashley win would see Q’s fee for the shambles they presided over being lost in fines

That's good. Got a ring of plausible to it, if unlikely.
If true, I will be a bit annoyed.
However, presumably if it is true it'll come out. I doubt Ashley could do that and have it not reported on.
