If there was VAR we would be fighting for the title with Ipswich and Leeds, having drawn with Sheff Wed last season

Probably the best away support I’ve seen at Fratton park this season. Draw was probably a fair result and I’d have taken that if you offered it to me before the game.

Safe journey back gents if you’re heading back tonight. I have a four hour plus drive to Norfolk now 🤣🙊.

I remember a few seasons back, a continued insistence that Vydra had clearly hit a shot completely the wrong way - should have gone for the near post instead of across the keeper,  or some such blather - with an absolute insistence that it showed he simply was not, and never would be, good enough.
Vydra then went on to destroy everything in his path, scoring for fun as one of the most efficient scoring machines Derby has ever had.
Since then I’ve read the proclamations of footballing insight and knowledge that are beyond us mere mortals with the respect they deserve. The ramblings of someone who likes the sound of their own voice a little too much.

Vydra wasn’t good enough. He had one decent half season when Rowett could get a tune out of him but was subsequently mediocre for the rest of his time here.

He had 3 good seasons in 12. 3 seasons when everything he hit went in.
We got our money back but wasn't a good signing. Like Ince his figures look better than the actual experience

I'm referring to his career as a whole.
He is a player, who at best, if you tailor your system to suit him, he will score 20 goals at championship level.
Is that good for the team though?

So, I have calmed down after the Northampton defeat. The dust has settled. I can now look calmly over the season as a whole, where we were and how far we have come and so forth, and come to a rational and considered opinion based on all that I know.
    I still want Warne gone.
Yes, nice bloke, bobble hats, next to no budget, this, that and the other.
But whatever the outcome from this season: promotion, play-offs, missing out, whatever league we play in next season.....

So hopefully the EFL will have checked them and signed them off by January. Though I'm sure the EFL would have no problem taking their time and delaying it as long as possible?

I can't tell if you're English or not, but if you are and you're not enjoying it that's your choice, but it's making a lot of other people happy. Is it really that surprising that a broadcaster/newspaper is overselling something they're selling?
and if you aren't enjoying it, why are you watching it? Patriot Games was on Channel 4 at the same time so you could have been watching Harrison Ford instead.
(I also agree with everything you said about ITV. I hate ITV and everything it stands for).

Please Mel, it's not too late. Just give Mac the last game of the season. He's been watching every game so he'll already know exactly what to do. Players like Jozwiak would flourish in his system. Mac's shown he can get an instant impact before, he only needed half-time once vs Ipswich. Just any sort of change could give the team a boost. You can't just let us get relegated whilst doing nothing.
