What are you using to determine "haven't the worst record"? Using clean sheets as a goalkeeping stat is pointless. But if we look at it, Motherwell have the least clean sheet % and least in the league, Kelly has played 100% of the minutes. I've already shown he's statistically the worst shot stopper in the league according to Opta. He plays an average of 13.9 accurate passes per game (48% accuracy), which is 7th out of 12 goalkeepers who have played over 10 games this season. 9.17 out of the 13.9 accurate passes per game are long balls. Which shows he plays an average of 4.73 short passes per game. Yes, I understand that is team dependent mostly, but that's not a good stat and proves nothing about his ability to play out from the back. I've seen more sources saying his height is 6ft than 6ft 2, which is quite small for a goalkeeper.

Statistically the worst shot stopper in the league. I only need to look for 5 minutes to see how Motherwell fans say how incredibly inconsistent he is, for opposition fans to say how horrific he is. Also, do we need another keeper? Wildsmith and Vickers are good enough, perhaps we need a third choice if Loach leaves, but we have Thompson in the academy who will be our first choice within 3-4 years providing he doesn't sign for a Premier League club.

Probably a lad that the staff know a little bit about with them coming from Southampton, but like you say, we have a lot of cover in that position. Unless however, they see Robinson and Radcliffe as central defenders rather than midfielders.
