I’d agree, but it’s a difficult and expensive position to recruit for in January.
Hopefully we get the player we’re looking for, but buying for the sake of buying is what we need to avoid.
Maybe the loan market will offer the best option for a striker.

I'm no doubt being far too ambitious with these suggestions, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're signed by some top division sides within the next year, however...

Sebastian Nanasi - 21 year old winger playing for Malmo in Sweden. 11 goals and 7 assists in 29 games.
Jeppe Okkels - 24 year old winger for Elsbord in Sweden. 11 goals and 6 assists in 30 games. 1 year left on his deal.
Faris Moumbagna - 23 year old forward. 24 goals and 9 assists in 36 games for Bodo in Norway. Made his Cameroon debut last month.
Alexander Lind - 21 year old CF playing for Silkeborg in Denmark. 10 goals and 3 assists in 19 games.

I understand we are in L1 and it would seem we have very little to spend(understandable after our situation)
But I miss the unknown player that striker from the lower leagues of Argentina or the young CM playing in Spain top  B teams. I guess we don't scout there just dreaming I guess lol
