I wouldn’t shake their paws post match, fudging rats
The keeper has got to fined somehow.

Textbook Warne game, we're becoming dangerous from set-pieces, chase down absolutely everything. Arugably MK Dons were doing more of what we were doing at start of season, played it around at the back, they averaged more possession, shots etc... and we win. Warne's proven formula at work.

Endlessly passing the ball stupidly in front of your own goal isn’t the way to go for me. Having said that we look incapable of controlling or passing the ball all over the pitch, not just at the back.

How many players out there had played a full pre-season? And that’s before you get to the fact that even if they had, we had a shorter one than most of the league.
There’s absolutely no way Rosenior thought it would be a good idea tactically to remove his best players. They can’t last 90 minutes, or if they could, they’re at risk of an injury that puts them out contention at all.
It’s not like Clownes bought the club and cured every single problem. There’s still going to be a hangover from the chaos off the pitch and the shocking fitness levels is is where it manifests itself on the pitch.
Sadly, once you start behind, it’s very hard to catch up.

    And that's the main point.
If you're not playing well but somehow find yourselves 2 up, then play ugly, niggly whatever.
Don't fanny about trying to rediscover your touch. Be a bunch of btards, go more compact and grind out a half.

Plymouth deserving the win makes it even worse. I’d rather they were the spawniest f***ers in the league and fluked it.

Thought we were good value for the 3 points today. We (almost) didn’t sink to they’re level with the cynical fouls (Davies was very late with that second half tackle!)
Very impressed with NML. Always looked to take on his man and cut inside. Cashin put in the performance of a seasoned, grizzled centre back. Collins worked tirelessly and Sibley’s game changing role from the bench was, in my opinion, a huge F you to being an after thought under the previous manager.
Also massive props to the lone Oxford fan who tried to enter the outdoor area of The Merlin looking to fight everyone after the game. Very brave and resilient performance!

Have finally returned to the nest, fully armed with excuses.
    1. They've changed the traffic management, so the home coaches leave first. Had a sneaky pint in the Yard, and the buses left just as we arrived.
Decided to wait out the traffic, and get a taxi back into town. Swift pint or three in Frankie and Bennys. Two ubers didnt turn up.
The Red Arrow was busier than usual due to the train strike, so we had to queue. Getting more beer from the shop didn't help our place in the queue, admittedly.
Pride day in Nottingham today, not a taxi or bus free to return home without encountering menacing hordes of biker types. Another few in the Six Barrels, then I somehow got cajoled into leading the march through town!
Arrived home, and burst into 'I am what i am' when the present Mrs Devil opened the door, with a requestioned rainbow boa draped around my neck. Not amused, at all.
Let her have her mini moan, then told her I wouldn't change a single thing about the day frankly, we were celebrating the fact there was even a game and a club to go and see.
Obviously, promised it wouldn't happen again, and will sleep on the settee tonight.

Reasonable so far, both sides will be disappointed they didn't score.
We dominated the opening spell and it's a shame we couldn't make more of it. Can't see it ending 0-0.
A bit sloppy, still seemingly in pre-season mode to an extent - in fact everybody has pretty much carried on as they were in pre-season. Would be nice to see Bird starting to assert a bit more influence, Houihane probably needs to move a bit deeper to get involved.
NML impressed, just keep pinging balls down the wing and we'll win this.
Hope we don't make too many subs or we could well end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

Bit bemused about some of the reactions to the points being made which are a remnant or hangover more appropriately from last seasons away performances.
There's an adage if it ain't broken don't fix it but what's the equivalent one regards if it's not working?
Would have thought that we've endured the learning curve from all of last season to cement the fact that messing around at the back and a ponderous, negative set up away from home yielded us little in dividends so not sure why we are still persisting?
Anyhows not particularly fussed about the result more our insistency to labour a playing "style" that has borne little dividends in the last season.

You can still have an opinion on a game by game basis otherwise what's the point of this forum.
If the pattern still continues after ten or more games then as another poster has said it adds more credence to those observations made upto then but nevertheless one still can comment on individual games good, bad or indifferent.
We were pretty crap in the game tonight, think that's a fair comment just, as we were good in the previous two games.
Just find some of the comments a little ott when the words moaning are being used, all I read is folks speaking their mind.

Having just listened to his interview, post-signing his new contract, he has to be made team captain immediately, as well as club captain for the playing staff.
He is articulate, determined, passionate, and respected by management, players and fans alike.
Curtis Davies is a future coach and/or manager in the making, and I would be more than happy to see him remain at Derby County F.C. in such a capacity, after he retires from playing.

On paper, this is a nothing game, at the end of a less-than-nothing season.
Why then, am I mega excited about the game ahead?  I really shouldn't be!
Why then, am I actually nervous, as if the outcome of the game matters at all.  It really doesn't!
Why does this feel like a massive game.  It really isn't!
Why do I still feel like this after 47 years in the job?
Why do I not grow up, and start acting like an adult.

    Derby bloody County, eh?  ?

It is borderline masochistic to watch our slow and sure relegation. And without a confirmed takeover, there is no light in the end of the tunnel. Like moles we will have to adapt to darkness that surrounds us.
