yes please, Millwall got Coburn so don’t know why they’d need another striker.
Now that'd be a decent signing! Would give us something completely different.

I get that (allegedly) Al Hamadi is our first choice... but how late do we leave it before pushing on with options 2 or 3? This system we play needs a target man and we don't have one!

The goal every season has to be to improve on the last...
This season stay in the league
Next season finish 12th-15th
The season after a top half finish
The season after that push on for play-offs/promotion
4 years should be enough to build a solid squad based on a mix of sensible fees, unearthing gems and bringing through youth from the academy. I'd say the management team would be safe unless any of these targets comes seriously under threat.
Saying all of that, would I prefer playing fancier football and it all getting done quicker... of course! 🤣

What has Andre Gray been up to in recent years?
Serious question...I thought he'd retired!
He was playing in Saudi Arabia last season... don't know much other than that.

Ben Nelson is extremely highly rated by both Leicester and the England youth setup. Would be a cracking defender to get in for a season. Means we're left looking at free agents up front though if it happens (going on PW's comments in interviews)... who's still out there without a club? Can't think of many... although @MACKWORTHRAM's Andre Gray whisper would make sense on a short-term deal!

Bit of a random question but do you know if you can access that via Sky Go? I’m still scrounging off my parents Sky subscription (I am in my thirties)
Only on the Sky Sports app... having the same issue!

Zetterstrom, Wiredu and Woodrow fit the brief in terms of attributes for three of the roles PW is looking for (GK, quick CB and hold up forward)... and personally I'd be happy with all three! With Dembele going to QPR, I still think we could do with a similar kind of player to him though! A couple of players in leagues we've reportedly looked at with similar stats (yes, I am going on stats as I haven't seen either of them play... haha) are Musa Juwara at Vejle and Louicius Don Deedson (what a name!) at Odense, both in Denmark. Wonder if either of them have made it on to any of our 'watch lists'?

Well this is embarrassing now

Well we grew into it more as the half went on. Kenzo looks class. We're only 2-3 signings away from getting the balance right IMO... As it stands, can only see it finishing 1 or 2 nil though... Not enough threat up front; we badly need that target man to both hold it up to bring the midfield higher up and get on the end of crosses.

Exactly this. I'd value my job security and the client confidentiality obviously plays a part in it. If I'm told second hand, and I know the source would be tricky to correctly identify then I'd share. But only after confirming with the source they'd be happy for it to be shared. Some don't care, some do.
As said in another thread, I've been told Lincoln are desperate to get Taylor back permanently and know there's interest from him in being their star man. But they need to flog plenty of players to afford whatever Luton would charge. For Derby, this is an opportunity to either go after Taylor ourselves or take advantage of Lincoln's situation and pick up some of their better players.
If they (Lincoln) would be entertaining bids, I'd see what the asking price would be for Ethan Hamilton... Would fit into our midfield nicely!

Reuell Walters and Amario Cozier-Duberry both released by Arsenal.

We’ve been losing our minds for weeks, where have you been?! 🤣
Can you give the position or your opinion on the signing that’s done?

I won't give too many clues as it might make it a bit obvious as to the players I'd be referring to. Haha!
They've all got Champ or higher experience... they're all in the 21-29 age bracket... I think we (on a whole) will be relatively pleased 😊
-
As with last season, I'll only post my brief snippets of ITK stuff when people start losing their minds... 🤣
We've had one signing wrapped up for weeks and a couple more close... just because we haven't announced anything doesn't mean things aren't getting done... don't panic! 😊🐏

Suggested him a few weeks ago... very talented lad; quick and left footed so gives us a different attacking option (whether out wide or as a #10). Be interested to see (if we did sign him) whether it would be on loan or on a permanent.
-
Seen that Steven Alzate has been let go by Brighton. Would be a good Championship midfield option.
-
Charlton have triggered the one-year extension option in his contract
-
Ferdy Druijf from Rapid Vienna for a centre-forward option...
Tall, strong, good in the air, relatively quick... had a rough season in Austria so was loaned back out to PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie where he was doing well before getting injured in Jan. Should be back fit in the summer though.
-
Yeah, they missed out on the play-offs, but the Championship was a really strong league this season and LR turned a team from lower-mid table into Playoff contenders... very harsh to get sacked!
I imagine he'll already have another job by the time next season starts.
-
Adams A.Nother Sibley
As long as A.Nother is a quality DM addition (Nathaniel Chalobah on a free? Bosun Lawal or Tim Iroegbunam on loan maybe?) that'd provide a decent balance to start across midfield IMO.
-
If we end up not going with Wildsmith next season (I personally think we should... you don't get a Golden Glove over a season for nothing!), then both Viktor Johansson and Max Stryjek are available on frees and solid GKs.

Sell who? The only player we have with value is Cashin!
But no, other than us being competitive and not there to make up the numbers, we don’t know. And those statements don’t really tell you much either as that’s different to different people.
It’s a fair ask though, do we think we will spend more than £1m on anyone? I’m dubious.
I'm expecting a "Nigel Clough-era" type transfer window even with restrictions removed... 1 player bought for between £1m-£1.5m... maybe a couple of lower fees... the rest freebies and loans.

I'd be very surprised if we don't take another look at Harry Leonard from Blackburn. 20 years old and only a year left on his contract.
He was the striker who was all set to come in on loan in January, before Eustace came in and pulled the plug.
Would be an astute signing if we could get him at the right price (I doubt Blackburn would let him come out on loan to a potential rival)... not really took anybody by storm in senior teams as yet but I reckon he could easily be a top-end Champ/mid to low-end PL player in the future from what I saw at U21 level.

That's also my hope... that DB ends up getting a run of games and turns out to be a goal machine! 🙂
