I don't see anything wrong with this. It's a difficult situation for new ownership in the middle of pre season. We are weeks away from the new season, recruitment is already underway and we've brought in players that Rooney and Rosenior have identified.
The only thing we can do is let Rosenior get on with it and see how he does. I don't think it would be wise right now to announce him as full time manager given he is a complete rookie. Instead let him just get on with the job and if he does well, appoint him as manager.
The club have said they will give him every support needed to succeed in his role. It's a massive opportunity for Rosenior, it's his job to lose.

Because if you have an interim manager you’d normally be out looking for a permanent. Think this says: we’re not looking for anyone just now, Liam has earned the right to show whether he deserves the manager badge.

Caught up with an article in the athletic and all the comments from obviously misinformed rival fans who from some of the comments didn’t read the article. Usual theme think about the tax man, needs to be made public what we have/haven’t paid etc.
However the main crux of the article is Clowes has paid c£60m all including £3.7m for Q and £22m for stadium.
I can’t remember where our football debts and unsecured creditor debts stood but didn’t think they were huge, HMRC was anything between £29m-£36m. Taking away Q and Stadium, that’s £34.3m towards paying off the debts. Assuming football creditors 100% and unsecured creditors 25% and Mel got nothing (except paying off MSD),  I can’t see any scenario where HMRC has got less than 50%, potentially could even be 66% or 75%. 
So in other words these rival fans can jog on as this would be by far the biggest percentage of debt paid off in recent administrations. 
 
Not that it matters now anyway.

Decent work out today, some very positive signs and just lovely to be watching Derby again. Wish I could have been there but thanks to Rams TV for the coverage. Marvellous.

Think they were singing 'stand up for the 56'. 56 people died in the Bradford stadium fire so guess the Bradford fans were applauding Derby fans singing.

Just listened to his pre game interview with Rams TV he speaks so well, mentions the first thing they're looking at with recruitment is character and that all the new signings have mentioned the fans and atmosphere as being a massive pull.
 
Even more excited for the season now and wish LR all the best he deserves the chance.

It's beeen a beautiful morning up here in Yorkshire. All you Rams fans heading up won't be disappointed (well not with the weather anyway ?).
Just a short train ride from Ilkley for me, so setting off shortly.
Can't wait.

What a brilliant thread.
The reality is that bringing in so many players is likely to be problematical. A couple just won't fit in and a couple will miss significant time due to injuries. The rest will take time to gel and it will take Liam a while to learn about his players.
I reckon that looks like a mid-table squad. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that everything could click and we make the top 6.
That is a far better position than I expected and about a million times better than I feared. We're a proper club again.
I know I've said it before, but thank you David Clowes. I think every Derby fan owes you a pint. 

Not sure but thank goodness his money was non-existent. Also if he hadnt lined up to help him through by buying the stadium, would David Clowes have known enough detail about our position and been able to act so quickly to save us? So without CK as many have said perhaps we wouldnt have had David Clowes. A real sliding doors moment when CK's money failed to show. Wonder if we will ever know how close we were to oblivion

I was told the price paid by two sources, they could of course have heard it themselves the same source. When the administrator report is published will find out more, if Quantuma say it’s due to be out ‘immediately’ then stand by your beds next Easter given their track record. 

That's not what @The Baroninferred. He reckoned DC may have paid something between £60-65M for the club and stadium. That suggests £38-43M for the club, thus £30-38M to HMRC, unsecured creditors and MSD for the further loans.

I remember the Christmas game in our Div 2 promotion season. It was the first game back at Valley Parade since the tragic fire, and a full house with a big rams contingent. When the announcer called for applause in the memory of those who died, Derby fans did so with gusto. Bradford fans responded to this by booing Roy Mac resoundingly from the tunnel to the dug-out and every time he showed his face outside of it. Football was back ?

My first visit to Bradford was 1985 and consisted Of mainly getting pelted with broken terracing concrete all afternoon by the home supporters, who were still furious that Roy Mac had left them to join up with Arthur Cox.

It'll be good to have a true League position without a points deduction, judging by the signings augurs well for top half of the table, we'll see how the team develops over the 4 friendlies and take it from there.
