YoxallRam got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Drum in South Upper Block D
I’m in the SS. I sing and join in with the chants. If I’ve had a few beers, I might even start one.
I would NOT want the drum next to me for 90+ minutes every home game. I’m not surprised you had complaints.
Move it back to the front where there is a bit of a gap between the drum and the people.

I heard the EFL were going to lift our embargo in January but Steve Gibson said we needed to pay him another £1m to lift it.

I bet you’d be smashed if you were on doubles.
I get signal during the game, I think it’s because I have 5G and there isn’t enough people on it yet to swamp the network.

That’s what allows clubs like City go out and buy Haaland.

YoxallRam reacted to Half fan in Is this forum now counter-productive?
During the anguish abour the survival of DCFC, the content of this forum was fantastic - a tribute to the club's traditions and the fanbase.
I doubt the Samaritans could have done a better job in comforting the many loyal fans deeply anguished by events and the possible liquidation of one of the beating hearts of the Derby and Derbyshire community.
This forum also created and published many calls to action nationally and locally which attracted so many favourable headlines and must have played their part in the eventual rescue of the Club.
Our national prestige soared, generated a lot of national sympathy and support, and led to tremendous gates and match support even when we lost.
However, since LR was replaced by PW, I wonder if I am alone in noticing a downward spiral in the objectives and quality of some contributions. Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions, but do we not need to temper the expression of them by considering the effect on the DCFC owner, staff and players who are becoming the target of some vitriol?
Some of us seem to forget our debt to our new owner. And seem to forget the laborious keep-ball of LR which we had endured for more than the current season and which had led to so many away defeats and the inability even to score a goal for match after match.
This forgetfulness is accompanied by totally unrealistic expectations of what the new owner and manager should achieve. And ignorance of just how effective League 1 opposition can be when pumped up by the adrenalin of facing the high and not so mighty DCFC.
It is sadly well known that social media can inflict a lot of harm on its targets. For the sake of our Club and those on its payroll and the person who bankrolls our payroll, may I plead for some moderation and realism please?

YoxallRam reacted to Mucker1884 in Mr William Osula
I'm sure that'll mean a lot to Mr Osula, when he gets chance to read this thread that has been specifically set up in his honour! ?

Surely a couple of halves and a curry is ok? The lad deserves that, at least! ?

YoxallRam reacted to Srg in Ban Fireworks
Wouldn't outright ban, but I would ban public sales. Should be organised displays and things like that, and nothing else.

YoxallRam reacted to David in Ban Fireworks
Just thought I would get in here early for my annual request that all fireworks are banned.
Soon as the clocks go back, the anti social folk will be out in their gardens setting these things off as they complain the following morning about the cost of living.
Maybe don’t waste your money on being anti social this year, just an idea.

EE works during the game. At HT and when there is other high usage, I think all networks struggle

I’d say it’s widespread.
The only way to prevent it is to warn people to stop buying tickets 2nd hand.

YoxallRam reacted to Caerphilly Ram in 2022/23 squad
So with the transfer window closed until January, and barring any free transfer that could still be added, this is the first team squad we’ve got;
GK - Wildsmith, Loach, Anang
LB - Roberts, Forsyth
CB - Davies, Stearman, (Forsyth)
CB - Cashin, Chester, (Rooney)
RB - Knight, Oduroh
CM - Bird, Thommo, Hourihane, Smith (Rooney, Robinson, Knight)
CAM - Sibley, McGoldrick (Dobbin, Knight)
WF - Mendez-Laing, Barkhuizen, Dobbin (Sibley, Knight)
CF - Collins, McGoldrick, Osula (Cybulski)
Players in brackets are those I see as “alternatives” if we’re struck by injury etc and does show there’s a little bit of depth and flexibility within the squad plus some more academy options could be called upon if needed.
Considering where we were a few weeks back it’s a very solid squad in my opinion. Now I can’t wait to see it gel further and continue delivering results on the pitch ?
