It’s like when we attack, we are alright. Like all of our talent is going forward. Shocking revelation, I know. But someone should tell Safegate playing 5 defenders and defending with 10 men behind the ball constantly is ridiculous when you have this squad.

Looked a penalty in real time.
-
Looked a foul on Bellingham that.

Maguire goes charging forward, gives it away, 0-2.
Outstanding.
Playing 5 at the back. The centre back loses it on the edge of their box. Out of position and concede. What is the point of this negative system? That should have been another midfielder or forward who had the ball. Southgate.

Blimey that musiala lad looks a bit tasty.
And he’s English. Pain.

Stumbles through Russia on the back of set pieces. Walks through playing dull counter attacking football against poor teams playing at home in all but one game, before completely bottling the final in both tactics and substitutions. Continues to be horrendous in the run up to Qatar. Get Southgate gone.

If we get out the group at this World Cup I’ll be surprised.

That’ll be a penalty. Maguire is great.

First time I've watched England since the Euro's.
Can't belive how much the style of play has changed.
Im really surprised that you are sitting back and letting the opposition control the ball.
I think Im watching a differant game to the channel 4 experts. Actually, I'm not impressed with the C4 coverage.
This is exactly how Southgate has always had us playing. Nothing has changed?

Can’t get over how sloppy we have been. Basic passes have been off, some horrendous first touches. Which is really odd because we’ve actually found ourselves is some semi decent positions.
-
He’s just slow. Just he thinks he can play midfield as well as upfront.
-
Sterling had to score that. Did everything right.
-
Sloppy as expected. Kane giving it away repeatedly and dropping too deep. Shaw is rubbish and hasn’t been playing, Maguire the same. Dier no where near good enough. What do you do when your talent is going forward and you don’t have good defenders? Play 5 of the f******.

England had a corner and it ended up with Pope clipping it out for a throw ?

England have managed to be turned into an unbalanced mess of unfit players and decent players playing in totally unknown roles making a right mess - come the World Cup we probably won’t get past Iran USA and the Welsh
Good. Then Southgate will finally go. The FA are really a joke between Southgate and having employees the likes of Boothroyd for the u21s for a long time until recently. Entrusting the future of the international team with shocking managers like that.

Remember a year or two before covid seeing SP in The Anchor in Burton - anyone who knows, knows it’s the biggest s******* imaginable - and he was there by himself, drunk as anything sat at the bar. He looked like he’d really seen some s***. Little did we know.

All Morgan Whitaker needed was a bit of confidence, but Derby fans weren't prepared to give him that.
A lovely goal today.
Absolute massive deflection, so wouldn’t quite call it lovely.
However, he didn’t get a fair go here. People saw his height and thought he could be a number 9 on his own. That wasn’t his game and never will be. He has talent, and he wasn’t used properly in the first team by managers and fans didn’t understand him.

It is in the rules but it’s if the bowler isn’t in their delivery stride. She was, so it shouldn’t have been out anyway.
Beyond that, in a won series, bowling at a tail ender, it’s just pathetic.

To be honest I think the zero goals away from home is a red herring because you could probably play those games 100 times over and we would not have 0 goals across them again but never mind.
I don’t think it’s anything to shout about that those numbers are better than ours across this season as we have just replaced the (interim) manager responsible for it. We have so far averaged 0.667 from open play so you are looking at an average of 4-5 more open play goals across an entire season. I just hope that’s enough to not be called “boring”, or “lacking incision” or “football by numbers” or any number of phrases I’ve read to describe our start to the season.
Similarly, play those home games again playing like that and you lose more than one.

was too exciting for a moment. Need to bring it down a notch.
