I said this in the game thread, but would the people who are ashamed be so if they'd been stopped doing 50mph in a 30mph hour zone? Because speed is the single biggest determining factor of fatalities in RTA's.
Go and watch the Charlie George interview on RamsTv and see how he and Colin Gibson chuckle when he tells the story of falling asleep at the wheel when driving up the M1 to sign for Derby.
The courts will strip them of their license for at least 18-months, they'll get hit with big fines and their insurance will go up accordingly (and yeh, yeh they can probably afford it), but how many times do you want to find somebody guilty?
I lean toward wishing they hadn't played them if I'm being honest, but I think there's a tad too much hysteria and holier than thou attitudes.

Loris, Rooney and Yaya Toure all played the next game after being caught drink driving. All Premier League players and at the time at Spurs, Everton and City. The Derby response is as per that of other clubs. All sorts of things get taken into account such as previous behaviour etc and the club responds. If you don't agree with it, which I don't, then that is up to you. But how Derby have handled it is in line with plenty of other clubs. I don't see this as having done huge damage to the club, Mel or anything else. It's been handled as per other clubs. The only difference this time is that as a fan of the club you have a greater emotional involvement.

Totally Agree. You'd have thought Keogh of all people would have had more sense, being captain and senior profession alorl.  It wasn't as if he had to hang around for a lift, there was transport laid on. What a way to end your career, if it comes to that.

Absolutely not. This fanbase had to live with the humiliation of 2007/08 & the manager on the front page after filming himself during extra-marital 'indiscretions'. This is small fry in comparison.
We'll regroup & improve. Sometimes out of disaster comes the opportunity for positive change.

I like the article on Cricinfo which describes him as the sort of man who could sort out Brexit in the interval between innings. A good read, as is the rather surprisingly glowing account of the match.

It has to be said Dominic Corks record as t20 coach is phenomenal. I wonder if he’s got his eye on taking over the other 2 formats, or if he’s just happy doing the t20

A masterful innings from Stokes. The way he powered the team home at the end will get all the headlines, but his patience in the final session yesterday and this morning's session was top class test batting. To be able to manage his own performance to accelerate in such a manner whilst working the ball to keep Leach off strike as much as possible is insanely difficult.
Leach is amazing too. Shades of David Steele when he was cleaning his specs in preparation for 90mph bouncers.

My grandad played with Stamps, Jack Parry, Reg Harrison, and would have trained with the others, back in the early 50s.
This is him on his debut against Chelsea.

I actually remember them, but never saw them, far too young and distant. I used to collect footballer 'cards' from the sides of Typhoo tea packets. Raich Carter was my favourite, followed by Jackie Stamps.
